Today's best Presidents' Day mattress and bedding deals

1. Saatva Classic Mattress (twin)
Best for most sleepers
Save $300
1. Saatva Classic Mattress (twin): was $1,399 now $1,099 at Saatva
Read moreRead less

We were so impressed during our Saatva Classic mattress review that we gave this bed a perfect score, awarding it high marks for temperature regulation, edge support and full body comfort. No wonder we declared it the best hybrid mattress you can buy online. There's $300 off in the Saatva mattress sale, reducing a queen to $1,879 (was $2,179.) We think that's a good price for the quality of mattress but if you aren't in a rush to buy, we're hoping $400 off will return for Sleep Week in March.

2. DreamCloud Classic Hybrid (twin)
Best for sheer value
2. DreamCloud Classic Hybrid (twin): $399 at DreamCloud
Read moreRead less

Our top-rated mattress in a box, the DreamCloud doesn't have the versatility (or the luxury finish) of the Saatva Classic, but it offers exceptional full-body support and quilted cushioning that's ideal for side sleepers. A queen is $699 in the DreamCloud mattress sale and that's the standard offer, so you don't have to rush to buy but you can currently pick up a free bedding bundle as well. An added bonus for a bed we described as "unbeatable value" in our DreamCloud Classic Hybrid Mattress review.

Our DreamCloud Classic Mattress review: ★★★★
Customer score: ★★★★½ (9,300+ reviews)

3. Siena Memory Foam (twin)
Best cheap
Save $40
3. Siena Memory Foam (twin): was $199 now $159 at Siena
Read moreRead less

We gave the Siena Memory Foam Mattress four out of five stars in our review — but that almost undersells the exceptional support this budget-friendly bed provides. It's one of the best firm mattresses we've tested, making it a great option for back and stomach sleepers. Shop direct from Siena and you can pick up a queen for $294, which is a rare price drop when buying directly from the brand (it's usually on sale for $359). It's not as cheap as we spotted it on Amazon last Black Friday when a queen dropped to $244, but still incredible value.

Our Siena Signature Mattress review: ★★★★
Customer Score:★★★★½ (3,300+ reviews)

4. Helix Midnight Luxe (twin)
Best for side sleepers
Save 27%
4. Helix Midnight Luxe (twin): was $1,436 now $1,048 at Helix Sleep
Read moreRead less

The Helix mattress sale typically offers 20% but you can save 27% this Presidents' Day by entering code TOMS27 at checkout. This reduces the Midnight Luxe, the best mattress for side sleepers we've tested, to $1,751 for a queen (was $2,398.) The exceptional pressure relief stood out in our Helix Midnight Luxe mattress review but this bed is strong all-round, although stomach sleepers might prefer the Helix Dusk Luxe mattress.

1. Linenspa Hybrid Mattress (twin) : was $165.57 now $149 at Amazon
Read moreRead less

The Linenspa Hybrid Mattress is a more affordable choice if you're looking for the bounce of a hybrid bed. When we tried the 8-inch model for our Linenspa Mattress review, we felt it lacked some support but would be an excellent choice for a guest room. Right now, a full-size is $212 and a twin is $149 for a 10-inch at Amazon. Linenspa sales are rare, so don't let this deal get away.

2. Lucid Memory Foam Mattress (twin)
2. Lucid Memory Foam Mattress (twin): $219.99 at Amazon
Read moreRead less

The best deal on the Lucid mattress can be found on the 10-inch queen size, which is now reduced from $339 to $220.90. Lucid beds do have a tendency to sell out but there are several different firmness options available (although you'll need a bit of luck to get the size and feel you want at a discount.) This model promises a "medium" feel so it should be a good all-rounder.

3. Serta 5 Star Mattress (twin)
3. Serta 5 Star Mattress (twin): was $299 now $224.25 at Amazon
Read moreRead less

We might not necessarily award this affordable mattress its eponymous five stars (and neither do Amazon customers, who give it a 4.2 overall), but made in the USA by legacy brand Serta, this should be a good budget option. A Level 3 Medium Queen is reduced from $399 to $299.25, which is a decent saving. It also comes backed by a 10-year warranty.

Read moreRead less

The best cooling mattress we've tested, our Bear Elite Hybrid mattress review team used a thermal camera to see how well this bed kicks out excess heat. It took fractions of a second for the Bear to return to a neutral feel, meaning even on hot nights you won't wake up sweating. We tested the Celliant cover version — designed to transform heat into infrared energy — and think it's worth the upgrade. Especially in the Presidents' Day sale, as code TOMS40 saves you an extra 5% in the Bear mattress sale. A queen without the cover is $1,370 (was $2,284) but the upgraded model is just $1,456 (was $2,427.) And you get free bedding included.

4. The WinkBed Mattress (twin)
4. The WinkBed Mattress (twin): $999 at WinkBeds
Read moreRead less

WinkBeds flagship mattress rivals the Saatva Classic for luxury support and it comes in four firmness levels, with a Plus option that's among the best mattresses for heavy people. WinkBed has recently raised prices across the collection, bringing a queen to $1,799, which means it's not as good value as this time last year. But the price is still comparable to many of the best luxury mattresses.

Best Presidents' Day mattress deals: Everything you need to know

We've been keeping a close eye on the Presidents' Day mattress sales for many years now and we've watched it grow into a bigger and bigger sale. Here's what's we've seen so far in this year's Presidents' Day mattress deals... plus a few things we hope are still to come.

We'll see the return of some of our favorite Black Friday deals
In 2025, Presidents' Day was almost a shadow of Black Friday — similar deals but the offers weren't quite so strong all-round. If you missed out on a Black Friday mattress deal, it's worth checking for it on Presidents' Day.

Luxury might dominate
Been planning your summer vacation? The best hotel mattresses allow you to enjoy vacation sleep year-round and over Black Friday we saw major savings from luxury brands like Westin, Marriott, Ritz-Carlton and Saatva. We expect price drops during Presidents' Day, although they might not compare to the Black Friday savings.

Two members of the Tom's Guide sleep team sit on the Saatva Classic mattress on a bed frame in our testing studio, discussing the comfort and support of the Saatva Classic, our number one mattress for most sleep styles

Look for cheap beds from Amazon and Walmart
On the other end of the scale, we expect to see big price drops on cheap mattresses at third-party sites such as Walmart, Amazon and Mattress Firm. In case your holiday guests destroyed the spare bed...

Some brands will offer 'Presidents' Day sales'... without the deals
We expect a lot of mattress brands will celebrate Presidents' Day by slapping a new banner on the standard offer. You don't need to avoid these deals, but it might not be the bargain you're expecting.

We might see big deals on recovery sleep tech
The Presidents' Day mattress deals 2026 happens to fall in the midst of the Winter Olympics and we suspect some sleep tech brands will want to capitalize on the occasion by emphasizing the connection between good sleep and sporting performance. Hopefully, with a discount.

Best Presidents' Day mattress deals: FAQ

When do Presidents' Day mattress deals 2026 end?

Presidents' Day 2026 took place on February 16th (the third Monday in February) and while some mattress deals will hang around after the day, we expect most brands to wave goodbye to their sleep savings pretty quickly.

We track mattress sales year-round so we know that most brands opt for a long run-up and a quick drop off — thats why we often recommend shopping ahead of the day itself.

We've already spotted some deals disappearing from brands such as Saatva and Coop and more will soon follow suit. By the end of the week, it's likely most of the best deals will have drawn to a close.

Why Presidents' Day is a great time to buy a mattress

Presidents' Day is the first major mattress sale of the year and for that reason, most sleep brands are excited to get in on the fun. And with the last major sales day (Black Friday) nothing but a distant memory, you can expect some big savings to entice shoppers who missed out before the holidays.

So, are there actually any good Presidents' Day mattress sales? Short answer, yes. Major sleep brands such as Saatva, Helix and Tempur-Pedic have all launched sales that rival their biggest price drops of they year, with deals comparable to the Black Friday discounts.

The image shows two mattress testers sat on top of the a white mattress with a navy blue trim. The mattress is placed on a white bed frame in a blue bedroom

And there's another compelling reason to shop now: price hikes. Over the course of 2025, we saw many major brands increase their prices due to increased cost of goods and tariffs. Brands including Saatva, Avocado, WinkBed and Cocoon by Sealy Chill all introduced higher prices last year.

That trend doesn't appear to be going anywhere soon. In fact, the price of a queen size Saatva Classic has already increased from $2,139 to $2,179 in 2026.

So Presidents' Day might be the lowest price drop we'll see on many mattresses this year — making now the time to shop.

And if you don't shop the Presidents' Day sales, it's a long time until the next deals event. We're unlikely to see price drops like this until the Memorial Day mattress sale in May.

Do stores run Presidents' Day mattress deals?

Major mattress stores always run Presidents' Day sales, and some of them can be as good as the mattress deals we see online. However, unlike online shopping, you'll need to physically travel to a brick-and-mortar store to see what discounts they're offering.

If you prefer in-store shopping, we encourage you to ask the sales staff the following questions to make sure you are getting a good deal and fair purchasing terms:

  • What is the MSRP of this mattress?
  • What is the lowest price you have sold it for recently?
  • What trial period does it come with?
  • What is the warranty period?
  • What is your refund and exchange policy?
  • Do you offer free shipping?
  • Do you offer old mattress removal either for free or at a cost?
  • How long does this Presidents' Day mattress deal last for?
