Presidents' Day mattress sales are still underway. If you've been waiting for the right opportunity to purchase a new mattress — now is the time to buy. Although the holiday is now behind us, mattress manufacturers are still taking as much as 40% off top-rated beds.

We've been tracking Presidents' Day mattress sales for over a decade and can spot a good deal from a faux price drop. Additionally, here at Tom's Guide we've reviewed dozens of hybrid, organic, and memory foam mattresses to help you find the best bed for your budget.

That said, it's worth mentioning that Presidents' Day doesn't always offer the lowest mattress prices of the year. (That would be Cyber Monday). However, Presidents' Day mattress sales are significantly cheaper than any generic mattress sale you'll find in the coming months of March and April.

For example, right now you can get one of the top beds featured in our best mattress guide at a fraction of its cost. Currently, you can get the Editor's Choice Nectar Mattress for $699 (queen). That's the second-cheapest price we've ever seen for our favorite value mattress. (It was just $30 cheaper on Black Friday).

Although we haven't tested every bed in the market, below we're listing the best sales on beds we've reviewed from the brands we trust. Looking for more deals? Make sure to check out our guide to the best Presidents' Day sales.

Is Presidents' Day the best time to buy a mattress?

Presidents' Day is the first major retail holiday of 2023. So if you're in the market for a new mattress, sheets, or bedding, Presidents Day mattress sales are where you'll find the deals. That said, there are other times throughout the year where we see particularly strong mattress discounts. Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day are also excellent opportunities to purchase a new mattress. None of them come close to the discounts you'll see on Black Friday, but these holidays offer better-than-average discounts.

What is the best cheap Presidents' Day mattress sale?

If you're on a budget but still want the best bed for your dollar, we recommend the Nectar Memory Foam mattress. It's our top pick when it comes to value. Currently, you can get the Editor's Choice Nectar Mattress for $699 (queen). That's just $30 shy of its all-time price low which we saw on Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

Are there Presidents' Day mattress coupons?

Mattress manufacturers occasionally offer discount codes that can help lower the price of your purchases. Some brands are upfront about their promo codes and list them on their respective websites. Others have the tendency to hide them. Make sure to check out our coupon guides for the best: Nectar promo codes, Tempur Pedic promo codes, Purple promo codes, Casper promo codes, DreamCloud coupons, and Awara promo codes.
