Purple Mattress deals and sales for September 2025: Up to $800 off mattress and base bundles

Purple mattresses use a GelFlex Grid to create a 'weightless' feeling and if you want to experience this unique comfort for yourself, now is the time to shop, with up to $800 off mattress + base at Purple in the last chance Labor Day sale.
Our expert testers rate Purple beds among the best mattresses you can buy online, although they note it can take a few nights to adjust to the feel (luckily, all Purple beds come with a 100-night trial.)
Purple mattress sales can be unpredictable and they don't always offer the big price drops you can expect from other brands in the Labor Day mattress deals. But right now there are some good savings to be had in the extended sale so read on to find our top Purple mattress picks.
The best deals in this month's Purple mattress sale
1. Purple Mattress: twin was $999 now $799 at Purple
In our Purple Original mattress review, we praised the pressure relief of Purple's flagship bed and while it's not exactly sumptuous, the GelFlex Grid contours to the body to relieve pain at achy joints. There's currently $200 off all sizes of the Purple Original, reducing a queen to $1,299 (was $1,499.) It's a small saving but better than the discount we saw at the start of August, when there was a grand total of $0 off. On the other hand, we spotted up to $400 off the Purple mattress earlier this year. Purple sales are notoriously unpredictable so although waiting for a saving seems appealing, you might be waiting a long time.

2. Purple Plus Mattress: twin was $1,499 now $1,199 at Purple
Taller than the Purple Original, the Purple Plus mattress offers the same pressure relief but with even greater support. In our Purple Plus mattress review, we found the extra foam added better cushioning. It's still not exactly luxurious (you'll have to upgrade to a Purple Hybrid for that), but the cradling support earned it a place in our best mattress for back pain guide. A queen Purple Plus is $1,599 in the current sale, reduced from $1,899. If you aren't in a rush to buy we're hoping for more money off the Plus in coming weeks; in the months following Memorial Day, the Plus saw a bigger price drop than over the holiday period. With any luck, post-Labor Day will follow suit.

3. Purple Restore Hybrid: twin XL was $1,999 now $1,699 at Purple
The Restore collection is the mid-point in the Purple line-up, but a significant price jump from the Essential range. However, it also takes a notable leap in support and comfort, adding a layer of springs to the combination of foams and GelFlex Grid. We expect this to give better back support and improved breathability, similar to the best hybrid mattresses. There's $300 off all sizes currently, reducing a queen to $2,099 (was $2,399), That's a fairly typical saving from Purple but earlier this year we did see $300 off the Restore + $300 worth of instant credit (in other words; free gifts.)
User score: ★★★★★ (3,600+ reviews)
4. Purple RestorePlus Hybrid Mattress: twin XL was $2,799 now $2,399 at Purple
The RestorePlus has a similar build to the Restore Hybrid (above), but the thicker design enhances the cushioning to provide more comfort for side sleepers and even better support from head-to-toe, plus added cooling capabilities and an extra inch of the GelFlex Grid. The RestorePlus has seen a price hike in recent months but there's also a bigger discount than usual: $400 off. A queen is now $2,899 (was $3,299) and if you buy a Purple Premium Plus Smart Base at the same time you can save an additional $300.
User score: ★★★★★ (1,700+ reviews)
5. Purple Rejuvenate Mattress: twin XL was $4,499 now $3,999 at Purple
The Purple Rejuvenate mattresses sit at the very top end of the Purple line-up and these lofty designs (literally; this model is 15.5 inches high) are strong contenders for the best luxury mattresses you can buy this year. The Rejuvenate is soft where you need comfort and firm where you need support; we described it as a "recipe for instant comfort and full-body alignment" in our Purple Rejuvenate Mattress review (we tested an older model.) We also described it as "expensive, but definitely worth it." There's $500 off all sizes which, for Purple, is a whopper of a sale and reduces a queen to $4,499 (was $4,999.)

Which Purple mattress should you buy?
Purple has three mattress line-ups: the Essential collection (starting from $699), the Restore collection (starting from $1,999) and the Rejuvenate collection (starting from $4,499). The Essentials collection consists of memory foam mattresses, while the Restore and Rejuvenate collection are both hybrid mattresses.
The Essentials and Restore collection rate among the best mattresses in a box. The thicker, plusher Rejuvenate models are delivered flat and come with bonus free white glove delivery. All three collections feature Purple's patented Purple Grid mattress tech - an innovative hyper-elastic polymer that behaves more like a gel.
The Purple grid is designed to flex under your pressure points and adapt to support your body where it needs it the most. This grid layer is comprised of more than 2,800 open-air channels, so body heat dissipates and you don't feel too hot or too cold while you sleep.
The PurpleFlex Mattress is the cheapest mattress by Purple, yet it still comes with Purple's patented Purple Grid mattress tech. Under this grid sits a base support foam. The Purple Original and Purple Plus mattress have a similar build, but each design increases the level of support and comfort (and foam).

The Purple Restore Mattress is a hybrid collection featuring foams, coils, and the GelFlex Grid. The coils add even more support and response to these mattresses, making it easy for sleepers to change position and adjust.
The Purple Rejuvenate is the company's premier mattress line with a quilted Euro top and enhanced comfort layers. They also contain the upgraded GelFlex Grid Plus (and the luxurious Purple RejuvenatePremier Mattress contains two layers of grid technology).
As a side note, Purple also holds a spot on our best dog bed guide. The Purple Pet Bed is a high-tech mattress for your furry friends. It's hypoallergenic, non-toxic, and vegan. It's backed by a 100-day free trial.

2. Purple Plus Mattress
Enhanced comfort and durability
Depth: 11 inches | Sizes: Twin XL to split king | Trial: 100-night guarantee | Warranty: 10-year limited warranty | RRP: $1,399 to $2,798
The Purple Plus is a luxurious mattress and a step up from the Purple Original. It features two extra inches of foam than its predecessor. Overall, it's rated a medium firmness, but Purple also promises an 'adaptive' feel — soft where you want a mattress to feel soft, and firmer where you need extra support.
The Purple Plus is also great at relieving pressure points, and all sleep positions were well-suited on this mattress. It feels soft and cradled under your head, neck, arms, and legs, but is firmer under the shoulders, hips and lumbar spine. In our testing, we rated it one of the best mattresses for back pain.
