The Bear Elite Hybrid is the coolest mattress I've ever tested — and now it's at its lowest price of the year

As a combination sleeper who occasionally overheats, my dream mattress is cool, responsive, and supportive in every sleep position. The Bear Elite Hybrid with Celliant ticks all those boxes, and I'm thrilled to say Bear is closing 2025 with an epic deal for you, readers. You can now get 40% off the Elite Hybrid mattress at Bear with our exclusive code, TOMS40.

We retested the Bear Elite Hybrid with Celliant under our new and improved mattress testing methodology (which includes thorough thermal tests), and it has proven worthy of the top spot in our best cooling mattresses guide.

Bear Elite Hybrid mattress with Celliant Infused Cover (twin): was $1,998 now $1,198.80 at Bear Mattress

We've been vigilantly tracking Bear mattress sales and prices throughout the year, and despite MSRP shifts and discounts between 30% and 40%, the Bear Elite Hybrid with the Celliant cover upgrade is currently at the lowest price we've seen in 2025. A queen-size was down to $1,627.20 in Black Friday sales with a free bedding bundle, but is just $1,456.20 now after code TOMS40, minus the bedding. So if it's just a mattress you're after, it's safe to say you're getting a much better deal now with an extra $171 saving. The Bear Elite is one of the best mattresses in a box you can buy online — and if you do so now, it will be shipped for free within two to five days with a lifetime warranty and 120-night sleep trial included.

Why I love the Bear Elite Hybrid mattress

I've slept on four top-rated hybrid mattresses this year, including the Helix Midnight Luxe, the Brooklyn Bedding CopperFlex Pro Hybrid, the Glacier Original Hybrid, and the Bear Elite, which has been my favorite so far.

This 14" hybrid mattress is comprised of responsive coils, cushioning foams infused with copper, and a cover that uses moisture-wicking HydroCool technology. But pay an additional fee, and you can add a Celliant cooling cover.

As an active runner who sleeps hot depending on where I am in my cycle, the Celliant cover on the Bear Elite Hybrid mattress is worth the $92 upgrade in my opinion. This cover holds thermo-reactive synthetic fibers that absorb excess body heat and transform it into infrared energy.

This energy, the brand says, is then reflected to the body to aid thermoregulation (keeping you at an ideal sleep temperature) along with circulation and cellular oxygenation, which helps with muscle recovery.

In our updated Bear Elite Hybrid mattress review, we found the Celliant cover is incredibly good at pulling excess heat away from the body and dissipating it quickly through the mattress surface.

Outshining any other mattress in our thermal tests, we awarded the Bear Elite 5 out of 5 stars for temperature regulation, and recommend it to chronic hot sleepers looking for a robust cooling bed to put a stop to night sweats.

That said, our best mattress of 2025 overall, the 5-star Saatva Classic, also performed exceptionally well in our temperature regulation tests, proving itself a great bed for the average hot sleeper. (Read our full Saatva Classic mattress review for more details.)

Brooklyn Bedding CopperFlex Pro Hybrid (twin): was $932 now $652.40 at Brooklyn Bedding

Packing premium cooling technology at an incredible price point, the 14" Brooklyn Bedding CopperFlex Pro Hybrid mattress is a fantastic pick for hot sleepers working with a tighter budget. This bed features copper-infused foam, coils that help with airflow, and a cool-to-touch GlacioTex cover (and I can vouch that it feels much more luxurious than its price tag would suggest). The year-end Brooklyn Bedding mattress sale takes 30% off with the code WINTER30, cutting a queen size to $932.40 (was $1,332) with a limited lifetime warranty, 120-night sleep trial, and free shipping included.
