Our top choice for most sleepers is the Saatva Classic mattress ($1,829 for a queen). With three firmness levels there's pretty much something for everyone, particularly as the combination of back support and bouncy cushioning helps ease aches and pains. It does, however, have the responsive feel of a traditional mattress, which won't suit everyone.

Saatva is a luxury mattress brand and even in the sales you're not going to get a queen bed for less than $1,500. However, in recent years we've noticed a trend among Saatva mattress pricing...
Over the past year, Saatva has introduced small price rises every few months. These are rarely big increases (typically around $50-$70) and they don't always hit every size of every mattress.
But to give some context, for the 4th of July 2025, a Saatva Classic mattress was $1,699 for a queen in the $400 off sale. By Labor Day, it was $1,739 with $400 off. It's now $1,829 in the same sale.
These price hikes aren't unique to Saatva (rival WinkBed saw a similar jump last Black Friday) and it's likely the result of the increased cost of goods, rising production costs and tariffs.
However, based on this pattern, we might see another price increase before the Labor Day sales in September. Which means shopping now might get you the lowest price moving forward.

Yes, the 4th of July is an excellent time to buy a Saatva mattress as the price drop equals the deal we saw during previous sales such as Memorial Day 2026 and Black Friday 2025.
From over five years of tracking the 4th of July mattress sales, we know this is typically one of the smaller sales events. However, no one seems to have told Saatva, as $400 off is a major price cut. We don't think you'll get any better waiting around for another discount, as we expect to see the same offers over Labor Day.
