I track hybrid mattress prices — here are 3 top sales to shop before Black Friday and 1 you definitely should wait for
I've been tracking hybrid mattress sales for years — here are my prediction this Black Friday
This is my third year covering the Black Friday mattress deals and I've noticed that some sleep brands kickstart their annual big sale much earlier than others.
While it's worth waiting to buy a premium hybrid mattress when it plummets to its lowest price, that doesn't always mean you have to hold back until Black Friday.
I admit that some mattress brands won't lower the price of their hybrids until Black Friday itself (that's the 28th November this year), but the number-one rated bed in our best mattress guide has already got the biggest price drop we'll see. Right now, you can save $400 on every size of the Classic Hybrid at Saatva. And other mattresses are getting the Black Friday treatment, too.
Here, I've rounded up the top three Black Friday mattress sales you can browse right now for a hybrid bed. I've also highlighted one mattress sales you should wait to shop — here are my predictions.
The three best Black Friday mattress sales you can shop now
1. Saatva
Every big sales event or federal holiday, we see Saatva trot out its semi-exclusive $400 discount on all mattress orders over $1,000. And we're not complaining; this is an excellent deal. The annual Saatva Black Friday sale has commenced, and it's honestly the best time to invest in a luxury Saatva bed.
While it may be better to hold out for a 15% off sale to buy higher-priced models like the Saatva HD or Saatva Solaire, (which are unpredictable flash sales not bound by holiday sale events) this Saatva mattress deal is best if you want to buy the Classic, the best Saatva mattress — and the best hybrid mattress — on the market.
Saatva Classic Mattress: twin was $999 now $1,399 at Saatva
With premium white glove delivery and a one-year trial, the Saatva Classic is hands-down the best luxury mattress we've ever tested (and constantly re-tested). It's available in three different firmness options so you can choose the one that fits your sleep and body type, and our Saatva Classic mattress review awards it five stars for its support and comfort. Last month, a queen was $1,839, so this $400 discount that takes a queen to $1,739 is not to be missed.
2. Helix
Helix is well known for designing premium hybrids that offer targeted comfort and support to certain sleep positions. Helix usually knock 20% off their luxury hybrid mattresses, but now we're seeing a 25% off sale. But there's something even more special for those in the know...
Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips.
That's right, our 27% off discount code is back, which means you can save 27% with code TOMS27 on a hybrid mattress at Helix. This discount is only useable during the creme de la ceme of Helix mattress sales. Of course that includes Black Friday.
Helix Midnight Luxe: twin was $1,436 now $1,048.28 with code TOMS27 at Helix Sleep
The Helix Midnight Luxe is designed for those who sleep on their side, and we think it's the best mattress for side sleepers. Our lead tester for our Helix Midnight Luxe mattress review absolutely adores this bed for both side and back sleeping, and has a lot of praise for its lower back support and cool "marshmallow" comfort. With our code, a queen size is now $1,751 rather than $2,798, and you'll also get a lifetime warranty and 100-night sleep trial, too.
3. Bear
Bear's mattress sales can vary, but it's typically between 30% off and 35% off. However, we know when their biggest sale events arrive whenever you get the chance to use our TOMS40 code to save 40% on all mattresses at Bear.
We saw this discount for Labor Day in September, and now it's returned to match its biggest price drop of the year.
Bear Elite Hybrid: twin was $2,284 now $1,370.40 with TOMS40 code at Bear
Our lead tester for the Bear Elite Hybrid mattress review struggled to find a single fault with this bed, and we've labelled it the best cooling mattress of the year thanks to its advanced cooling tech. Like the Saatva Classic above, you'll get three firmness options to choose from and a lifetime warranty. And while you may not get a year trial (instead it's the more-than-enough 120 nights) you do get free returns.
The mattress sale that I predict will be better closer to Black Friday
Leesa is known for its collection of high-quality hybrid beds, and the brand usually lets customers shop with one of three discounts: 20%, 25%, off, or 30% off.
20% is the regular run-of-the-mill deal outside of big sale events, so think of this as the default sale price. Now, 25% off usually occurs in the early days of a sale period, when we're barreling towards the apex of Leesa discounts: the 30% off sale.
We saw this happen Memorial Day and Labor Day, and so this 25% discount is surely just a dress rehearsal for the official 30% off sale to begin at Leesa.
Leesa Legend Hybrid Mattress:twin was $1,899 now $1,424 at Leesa
I tried this luxury hybrid for the Leesa Legend Hybrid Mattress review, and found it to provide great comfort for side sleepers and good support for most back sleepers. Like all the above beds, the Leesa Legend comes with a lifetime warranty, and a 120-night trial is included, too. A queen is currently $1,949, but we've seen it for as low as $1,819 during holiday events, so you may want to wait until Black Friday is nearer.
