The New Drama award stands to be the night's highest honor, and despite the rave reviews received by "Code of Silence", "Ludwig", "MobLand" and "Rivals", it's impossible to look past "Adolescence". In the vein of "Mr Bates vs The Post Office", Graham and Jack Thorne's four-part crime drama triggered a national conversation about the radicalization of children by social media influencers — in this case woman-hating men.
Graham will also go head-to-head with his teenage co-star Owen Cooper in the Drama Performance category. Brenda Blethyn, Rose Ayling-Ellis and Hardy are also shortlisted, for their work on "Vera", "Code of Silence" and "MobLand", respectively.
Joel Dommett may be anchoring proceedings, but watching his every move tonight will be the cream of British TV presenters, namely Ant & Dec, who have swept past 23 TV Presenter awards, "GBBO"'s Alison Hammond, "The Traitors"' Claudia Winkleman, "Sort Your Life Out"'s Stacey Solomon and Gary Lineker, who remains synonymous with "MOTD", despite being removed from the post by the BBC.
