The best cooling mattress deals in the Memorial Day sales 2026
The Bear Elite Hybrid Mattress is as cool as mattresses come. Infused with Celliant – a synthetic fiber that converts body heat into energy for recovery – it's also pretty clever. It out performed all other mattresses in our temperature regulation tests, making it the most reliable bed for hot sleepers looking to manage night sweats and hot flashes. While mattress prices are rising elsewhere, they are falling at Bear with a queen MSRP recently dropping from $2,427 to $2,284 . Plus there's 35% off in the standard Bear mattress sale this Memorial Day, and our semi-exclusive code TOMS40 grants you an extra 5% saving at checkout, cutting a queen size to $1,370.40 — that's the best price we've seen in a long time and it includes a free bedding bundle and delivery. Honestly, value for money doesn't get better than that.

From Walmart's own mattress brand, the Allswell is a well-built hybrid mattress that remains temperature neutral, minimises motion transfer, and provides strong edges. It is best suited to stomach and back sleepers looking for value. You'll get the best deal on the king and Cal king sizes this Memorial Day. There's $148 off a Cal king ($354 now) and $66 off a king size ($364 now), making it the perfect deal for co-sleepers who like their space. A twin and queen are still at MSRP ($214 and $314). Free shipping, 90-day free returns, and a 10-year warranty are decent perks for a cheap bed, too.

Smaller budget? By some wizardry, Brooklyn Bedding has created luxurious cooling mattresses with queen sizes sitting under $1,000 in the CopperFlex range. The Copperflex Pro Hybrid truly impressed even the pickiest testers in our Sleep Lab with its cool-touch feel and breathability, and it kept me comfortably cool at home (in a stuffy attic bedroom, might I add). It's back to its all-time lowest price in current Brooklyn Bedding mattress sales with a queen size at $932.40. You'll struggle to find a bed built with such quality materials and that feels as plush as the Copperflex Pro Hybrid in this price bracket. Adding value, there's a lifetime warranty, free shipping and a 120-night trial included, too.

Under $300 for a queen, we didn't expect the all-foam Siena Signature to perform as well as it did in our Sleep Lab thermal tests, but it really surprised our testing panel, making it our best cheap mattress overall. On the firm side, we particularly recommend it to stomach sleepers looking for an affordable but reliable bed. Siena mattress sales mean a queen permanently sits under $399 and it just got even better value, dropping to just $294 at Siena. We believe you won't find better cooling in this price bracket. Free shipping, a 180-night home trial and 10-year limited warranty are included, and you can pay an extra $35 for 2" more cushioning foam.

Disclaimer: We're talking real luxury here. The Brooklyn Bedding Thermobalance LX Elite is the first latex mattress I've slept on and it's safe to say I'm not disappointed. As a restless combination sleeper (those tosses and turns do no good for nighttime hot flashes), I've found it offers a great blend of support and comfort no matter what sleep position I find myself in. It's kept me chill through spring temperature rises and a nasty fever. Top of Brooklyn Bedding's range, it's by no means a budget buy, but thanks to the durability of latex, it promises to last up to 20 years. Persuaded? You can get 30% off for Memorial Day, dropping a queen size from $3,199 to $2,239.30 and saving you an extra $160 on the standard sale price. You can save up to $1,200 on a Cal king size.

How to choose a cooling mattress
- Set a budget that suits you
- Decide what kind of cooling you need: active or passive
- Consider your comfort needs beyond running hot
Firstly, having a certain price range in mind will narrow down your mattress search as you can cut straight in to the ranges you can afford. For example, if you want the cheapest decent cooling bed, check out our best cheap mattress guide. If you're looking to if you're willing to spend a bit more but want to save where you can, the Brooklyn Bedding CopperFlex range is a great option, with sale prices starting at just $419.30 for the CopperFlex Memory Foam.
When it comes to mattresses there are two approaches to temperature regulation, active and passive cooling. If you sleep really hot then it's worth considering an active cooling system (water tubes or cooling fans) which you'll find in smart beds like the Eight Sleep Pod and Tempur-ActiveBreeze.
Passive cooling should be ample for mild hot sleepers. This refers to mattresses built with naturally breathable materials (like cotton, innerspring coils, and gel-infused foams) that promote airflow and moisture wicking, keeping your sleep surface as cool as possible.
Finally, you shouldn't sacrifice overall comfort just for a cooling effect. You'll want to make sure the mattress you're buying still supports your sleep position and body type. Think: Is it firm enough to keep my spine aligned?
Are there cushioning layers to relieve pressure build up in joints? Once budget, cooling capacity, and comfort click, you've found the right bed for you — and our best mattress of 2026 guide has something for every kind of sleeper.
