Everton sit high in the table, following two wins and a draw in their first three games. New manager Rafael Benitez may not be the most popular boss the Toffees have ever had — as a Champions League winner at Liverpool, he was never going to be — but he can't have hoped for a much better start than the one he's had, with wins over Brighton and Southampton sandwiching an entertaining draw with Leeds.

The big news for Everton is that Dominic Calvert-Lewin — in fine form, with goals in each of his three games so far — misses out due to injury. New signing Salomon Rondon is available following his move from China, but is only on the bench. Another Colombian, James Rodriguez, is left out entirely.

Burnley, in contrast to their opponents, will already be looking below them with a watchful eye. They've begun the season poorly, with just one point from their three games.

They've named an unchanged team for this game, with new £12.85m signing Maxwel Cornet only on the bench. The Ivory Coast international can play on the wing or at full-back and has a handy goalscoring record, so don't be surprised if he makes an appearance later.

Here's how they line up:

Everton: Pickford, Coleman, Mina, Keane, Godfrey, Digne, Townsend, Allan, Doucoure, Gray, Richarlison.

Substitutes: Begovic, Kenny, Holgate, Iwobi, Gbamin, Gomes, Gordon, Davies, Rondon.

Burnley: Pope, Lowton, Tarkovski, Mee, Taylor; Gudmundsson, Westwood, Brownhill, McNeill, Wood, Barnes

Substitutes: Hennessy, Cork, Lennon, Rodriguez, Cornet, Pieters, Bardsley, Vydra, Thomas
