In Wales and England, magistrates' courts deal with summary and either-way offences, from petty crimes like minor criminal damage up to theft, fraud, assault, possession of offensive weapons and supply of controlled drugs. He's got guilt written all over him, but sending him down will be like turning in a family member.
And if she wasn't under enough pressure, her daughter's now got involved with another of the local trouble-makers, Sonny Higgins (Lloyd Meredith). And the return of local criminal kingpin Saint Pete (Tom Cullen), Claire's old flame, serves as a reminder that her past hasn't always been squeaky clean either.
