Saatva’s best-selling mattress topper isn’t in the Black Friday sale — so I’d buy this cheaper alternative instead

The Graphite Memory Foam Mattress Topper is Saatva's most popular bed topper, but I'm sorry to say the brand never discounts any of its mattress topper collection (not even for Black Friday).

However, there is a cheaper bed topper from the luxury brand that I recommend, even at full price. Right now, you can buy a High-Density Foam Mattress Topper for as low as $175 at Saatva — bringing a slice of the luxury comfort of 2025's best mattress for up to $70 cheaper than the Graphite model.

So, although it's not including among the this year's top Black Friday mattress deals (boo), I'd still buy even at full MSRP — here's why.

Why I’d buy Saatva's most affordable mattress topper

The best Saatva mattresses are renowned for their luxurious, premium construction, with the flagship Saaatva Classic winning the title of the best hybrid mattress of the year.

However, if its hand-crafted mattresses are outside your budget, the cheapest way to get the brand's signature support and comfort is the Saatva High-Density Mattress Topper. Plus, it's price (from $175) never changes, so buying it now won't mean you'll miss out on any surprise discounts closer to Black Friday.

Our Saatva High-Density Foam Mattress Topper review named it the best luxury mattress topper, bringing the cushioning comfort of our favorites in the best memory foam mattress topper guide, and commended how it offers an affordable way to experience Saatva's signature luxury.

It's also one of the best mattress toppers or college dorms, as its dense but short 1.5" height makes it ideal for bunk beds while the antimicrobial materials make it ideal for adding an hygienic top layer to old, grubby dorm beds.

The Saatva High-Density Foam Mattress Topper may be ultra-thin (under 2" thick), but is ultra-dense foam packs a mighty comfort boost. In fact, our testers felt it provided great cushioning for side sleepers, making it ideal for tall mattresses or bunk beds that can't afford too many additional inches. It also has anchor straps on each corner to keep the bed topper in place.
While you won't find this mattress topper in the Saatva mattress sales sale, you'll always get a 180-night sleep trial, a one-year limited warranty, and free shipping. It's also the most affordable choice in Saatva's topper collection (a queen is always $245), bringing the luxe feel of the best Saatva mattresses and the pressure relief of the best mattresses for side sleepers for less. Once in a while, you can find Saatva bed toppers in Saatva's bedding bundle deals if you're looking to buy sheets and pillows, too.

Who should buy the best-selling Saatva Graphite Memory Foam Mattress Topper?

While we awarded the High-Density Mattress Topper the same score as we gave in the Saatva Graphite mattress topper review, there are some people who should consider paying the extra $40+ for the Graphite.

Our lead reviewer, Alison, takes a nap on her side to test out the Saatva Graphite Mattress Topper's cooling comfort

Firstly, the Graphite Mattress Topper costs more due to the thicker build and graphite infusion. Its 3" build makes it perfect for boosting the comfort of thinner mattresses, while its graphite-infused foam works in tandem with the breathable organic cotton cover to provides extra cooling powers for hot sleepers.

We also recommend the Graphite Memory Foam Mattress Topper to anyone who needs extra support in the lumbar region, especially back sleepers.

The Saatva Graphite Memory Mattress Topper is a great addition to your mattress if you sleep on your back, want a soothing feel, or want to add some thickness to your mattress. Our testers loved its temperature regulation, keeping cool all night, and the balanced mixture of comfort and support.
It's also Saatva's best-selling mattress topper, its popularity no doubt stemming from its soothing body-hugging feel that our reviewers loved. Like the Saatva High-Density Topper, it comes with a 180-night sleep trial, a one-year warranty, and free shipping.

Why are there no Black Friday deals on Saatva’s mattress toppers?

Saatva consistently offer discounts (which vary in size) but you can forget seeing a price drop on anything from their mattress topper collection.

While plenty of brands are including in their mattress toppers in their Black Friday sales, including the Helix Black Friday mattress deals, Saatva never seem to.

However, this does mean you'll never have to worry about timing your purchase right, as buying now means you won't miss out on a lower price nearer Black Friday.

Plus, no matter when you buy, you'll get a 180-night sleep trial (practically unheard of for mattress toppers, as most have 30-night sleep trials) a one-year warranty (could be longer as the average is around 3-5 years, but we're not complaining) and free shipping.
