Man City vs Real Madrid (Tuesday, 4 p.m. ET), Chelsea vs PSG vs Chelsea (Tuesday, 4 p.m. ET) and Barcelona vs Newcastle (Wednesday, 1:45 p.m. ET) headline a wonderfully poised set of Round of 16 2nd leg ties.

Real Madrid thrashed Pep Guardiola's men 3-0 thanks to Fede Valverde's stunning hat-trick — and neither Kylian Mbappe nor Jude Bellingham even played in the 1st leg. Mario Lemina's early header secured a 1-0 win over Liverpool, but Galatasaray had enough opportunities to put the tie to bed, while a late Khvicha Kvaratskhelia double put the gloss on PSG's 5-2 beatdown of Chelsea.

However, Remontada is a word that's synonymous with the Champions League knockouts. That said, even the most optimistic of Tottenham fans may struggle to see the light, following the omnishambles of their 5-2 defeat. Three of Atletico Madrid's goals came gift-wrapped.

Premier League leaders Arsenal have been installed as Champions League favorites after topping the League phase standings, but they needed a controversial last-gasp penalty to peg Bayer Leverkusen back. The game of the week, however, may well be Barcelona's clash with Newcastle. Lamine Yamal rescued a draw with the last kick of the 1st leg — another soft late penalty — and when the Magpies are on song, their energy and aggression are nigh-on impossible to deal with.

Although Bayern Munich hold a 6-1 lead over Atalanta, the German giants are in the midst of an extraordinary goalkeeping crisis. Manuel Neuer has a calf injury, second-choice stopper Jonas Urbig a concussion, backup to the backup Leon Klanac has a thigh injury, and now fourth-in-line Sven Ulreich has an abdominal issue.
