Wayfair is running a 72-hour flash sale on several Sealy cooling mattresses, and one in particular has caught our eye. The Sealy 12" Cool Memory Foam Mattress is down to $398 (was $1,199) for a queen size at Wayfair, and its medium-soft feel makes it ideal for lighter to average weight couples who side sleep and who are prone to hot sleeping.

Sealy's budget-friendly hot sleeper mattress has a 4.7 out of 5 star rating at Wayfair, taken from over 9,000 user reviews. Customers love how well the gel-infused foam dissipates heat, and how it contours the body to relieve pressure.

Sealy's 12" Cool Memory Foam Mattress is designed with a gel memory foam layer to wick away heat to reduce hot sleeping. Gel-infused foam beds are also a good choice for sleeping better when you have aches and pains, as the foam contours your body throughout the night, evenly distributing your weight to relieve pressure points. In Wayfair's 72 hour sale a twin size has dropped to $318 (was $1,099) and a queen is down to $398 (was $1,199).

As we said, the Sealy's 12 Cool Memory Foam Mattress is a solid option for hot sleepers. Its cooling technology includes a top gel layer to boost airflow and wick away moisture.

This isn't in any way as advanced as the temperature regulation performance you'll get from the best cooling mattresses we've tested, like the Bear Elite Hybrid, so we wouldn't recommend the Sealy to those dealing with night sweats or hot flashes.

The middle layer is all about offering pressure relief and giving that 'hug' feeling that memory foam is known for.
