How will 'Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age' compare to seasons 1 and 2?

Season 3, titled "Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age," sets itself apart from the first two by exploring a different era, introducing new animals, and featuring a fresh narrator.

This time, the focus shifts from dinosaurs to Ice Age mammals and other Cenozoic creatures, opening up a whole new chapter in Earth's story.

The visual effects team faced new challenges as well, especially when it came to creating lifelike fur rather than the reptile skin and feathers they worked on in previous seasons.

Executive producers Jon Favreau and Mike Gunton return, as does the music from Hans Zimmer's team. This season, Tom Hiddleston takes over narration from Sir David Attenborough.

While the first two seasons explored the late Cretaceous and its diverse habitats, season 3 moves into the Ice Age, with episodes like "The Big Freeze" and "The Big Melt" highlighting how animals adapted to survive in a world dominated by ice.
