And given that he is tasked with overseeing the missions and monitors the contestants from his control room, he would know...

Channeling a mixture of classic Bond-villains, Cox sends eight pairs of danger-chasing agents (aka "the contestants") around the world from Bangkok’s Sinn Sathorn Tower to the shark-infested waters of the Bahamas in the pursuit of £1 million. In keeping with the theme, they will face challenges involving live scorpions in Thailand, gunfire in Mexico and Alpine cable cars.
See below for the list of agents/ contestants. They all begin with a strong bond (such as father and son or husband and wife) that the following few weeks will test to the ultimate degree. "The Controller" smiles as he considers the proposition. "The challenges are bigger and the drama runs deeper [than season 1]," he says with sinister intent. "And I’ve got the best seat in the house to watch it unfold.”

What do the contestants have to do to win the £1million jackpot at the end of it all?
Each mission hides a multiple-choice question (often themed around the location or Bond trivia) but, before they can answer, the pair have to complete the physical and mental challenges.
A correct answer moves them up the money ladder and closer to the £1 million jackpot. A wrong answer sends them home immediately.
If they make it through all the missions and questions they qualify for the final mission in London. If they clear that stage they will unlock the full £1 million prize. Only then can they walk away with the jackpot.
