The 2025 Asia Cup Final between India and Pakistan in Dubai is the final many in the cricketing world were hoping for.

It is the first time these two have played one another in either an Asia Cup or World Cup final, although they did contest the inaugural T20 World Cup final in 2007, which India won.

India are the form side this Asia Cup, getting to the final with a game to spare, having won all their matches. This included beating Pakistan twice, by seven wickets and six wickets, with 25 and 7 balls to spare respectively.

This Asia Cup is being played as a T20 tournament, and India’s progress to the final has been propelled in part by the run scoring of Abhishek Sharma and wicket taking of Kuldeep Yadav — both leading the charts in their respective categories.

Pakistan are stronger in bowling than batting and if they are to upset the odds, the performance of their strike bowlers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf will be key. Alongside that they have the metronomic Abrar Ahmed, who may just spin India into a web if he can continue the stellar form he has shown throughout this tournament.
