Casper's 4th of July mattress sale is here and there are savings on everything, from bedding to bundles. But the deal that's caught our eye is a new lowest price on the Cloud One mattress with 20% off at Casper.

The Cloud One is an all-foam mattress but although we've tested numerous beds to find the best mattresses you can buy online, we've never come across something like the plush foam pillars of the Cloud One.

But that's not the only sale we're causing excitement at Casper. If the summer heatwaves have been ruining your sleep, check out 30% off cooling Snow hybrid mattresses at Casper and chill out.

We've rounded up the best of the Casper mattress sale below but if these early 4th of July deals aren't setting off the fireworks, make sure to check out our mattress sales guide.

Best Casper mattress deals to browse today

1. Casper Cloud One mattress: was $1,149now $919.20 at Casper

1. Casper Cloud One mattress: full was $1,149 now $919.20 at Casper
Casper's Cloud One mattress uses foam pillars to create plush, cradling comfort that's been designed for side sleepers. We haven't had a chance to test it out yet but as Casper is a leader in the boxed mattress market we're excited to see how they've continued innovating. There are only two sizes of the Casper Cloud One mattress available – full and queen – and this is the first time we've seen them discounted (the Cloud One was full price in the Memorial Day sales). With 20% off a queen is now $999.20 (was $1,249). A 100-night trial and 10-year warranty are included.

2. Casper The One: twin was $749 now $599 at Casper
Best value

2. Casper The One: twin was $749 now $599 at Casper
The Casper One is the brand's entry-level model, a budget friendly all-foam bed that rivals the best memory foam mattresses when it comes to motion isolation — we awarded it full marks, as our lead tested found their partner could spring out of bed without causing a disturbance. In our Casper One mattress review we praised the bed's supportive feel but found the cushioned foams could overheat (Casper's Snow range is better for hot sleepers.) In the current sale 20% off knocks a queen from $999 to $799. And if you're looking for a mattress for a dorm room, a twin XL is now only $599 (was $749.)

3. Casper Dream Hybrid mattress:was $1,495 now $1,045 at Casper

3. Casper Dream Hybrid mattress: twin was $1,495 now $1,045 at Casper
The Casper Dream Hybrid mattress features the same signature Breathe and Align memory foam layers as The One mattress (above) but it replaces the foam base with a set of flex coils. This should enhance support to help alleviate back pain. And while bouncy springs might mean the Dream lacks the superb motion isolation of the One mattress, the best hybrid mattresses tend to be more breathable than all-foam alternatives. Based on our experience with the One (and customer reviews) we think this bed is best for back sleepers. The current 30% off sale reduces a queen to $1,195 (was $1,895) which matches the Memorial Day sale — this is a good time to shop.

User score: ★★★★½ (3,900+ reviews)

4. Casper Snow Hybrid mattress: was $1,895 now $1,325 at Casper

4. Casper Snow Hybrid mattress: twin XL was $1,895 now $1,325 at Casper
The Casper Snow mattresses aim to provide a cooler sleep experience for those who often wake up from hot flashes and night sweats. We haven't had a chance to test the current iteration but we did get our hands on the old Casper Snow Mattress and found the cooling "lived up to the 'Snow' part of its name." Reviews indicate a medium-firm feel (likely to suit back sleepers) but for superior support, upgrade to the Snow Max. In the current sale a queen Snow mattress is $1,745 (was $2,495) and we don't think you'll see it for any less this side of Black Friday.

User score: ★★★★½ (700+ reviews)

5. Casper Snow Max Hybrid mattress: was $3,125 now $2,200 at Casper

5. Casper Snow Max Hybrid mattress: twin XL was $3,125 now $2,200 at Casper
The top-of-the-line Casper Snow Max mattress combines the deep comfort and support of the Dream Max with the cooling feel of Casper's Snow technology. Standing at 14 inches tall it features six HeatDelete bands to pull warmth away from the body alongside the Phase Change Material found in many of the best cooling mattresses. Unsurprisingly, this is also Casper's most expensive mattress but you can save 30% right now with a queen only $2,655 (was $3,795.) We have seen up to 40% off this bed before but we think 30% off is the biggest price drop you'll get before Black Friday. So if the summer heat is disrupting your sleep, now is the time to buy.

Casper Mattress Sale: The best clearance deals to shop this month

Casper's mattress clearance sale can get you a big discount on a premium bed but all sales are final — no returns, trials or exchanges.

1. Casper Wave Hybrid Snow mattress: was $3,095 now $1,547.50 at Casper50% off!

1. Casper Wave Hybrid Snow mattress: twin XL was $3,095 now $1,547.50 at Casper
50% off!
For cheap cooling, consider the discontinued Casper Wave Hybrid Snow — it's one of the best cooling mattresses we've ever tried, keeping our tester a comfortable temperature throughout the night. But if you want to get your hands on its premium cooling power, you'll need to act fast. Only twin XL and full sizes remain and Casper can't ship the bed to New York. If you aren't restricted by those conditions, the price is impressive — a full is now only $1,747.50 with a 50% price drop. And you do get a five-year limited warranty, in case of manufacturing defects. If it sounds like the deal for you, check out our Casper Wave Hybrid Snow mattress review to decide if it suits your sleep needs.

2. Casper Snow Hybrid Mattress: was $1,895 now $1,137 at Casper

2. Casper Snow Hybrid Mattress: full was $1,895 now $1,137 at Casper
Delivering the same excellent cooling as the Snow Wave Hybrid (without the advanced pressure relief), our Casper Snow Hybrid Mattress review team panel slept cool during a midwest summer. However, sizes are very limited — there's only a full available right now. Snap this one up before it disappears.

3. Casper Foam 2023 Mattress: was $1,395now $837 at Casper

3. Casper Foam 2023 Mattress: Cal king was $1,395 now $837 at Casper
Casper's Foam 2023 mattress is a simple all-foam build akin to the Casper The One (or the former Casper Original mattress.) Like those models, we expect this bed to deliver a firmer feel with good pressure relief; we recommend it to back sleepers. This is currently the cheapest mattress sold direct from Casper but it's proving popular in the clearance sale — only the Cal king sizes is left for $837. It might be now or never with this mattress, as the size range has decreased drastically in just a few weeks (in early April full and queen were both available.)

Casper Mattress Sale: The best bundle deals to shop this month

1. Casper Best-Selling Bundle:was $1,167now $739.05 at Casper

1. Casper Best-Selling Bundle: twin was $1,167 now $739.05 at Casper
Casper's best-selling bundle pairs either The One mattress of the Dream mattress with a foundation and waterproof mattress protector, for an all-in-one upgrade to your bed. We're always excited to see the return of the 35% off sale which reduces a queen with the all-foam One Mattress to $940.55 (was $1,497.) That's an impressive saving (and among the biggest discounts at Casper right now) and if you're shopping for a dorm bed, this is an excellent choice. We've seen the deal waver between 25%, 30% and 35% off in recent weeks so this is a saving to snap up.

2. Casper Snow Bundle: was $2,313now $1,503.45 at Casper

2. Casper Snow Bundle: twin XL was $2,313 now $1,503.45 at Casper
If your entire bed seems to have turned into a sauna on recent nights, consider the cooling comfort of Casper's Snow Bundle. With this offer you can pair your cooling mattress with a bed foundation and breathable mattress protector and save 35%. That brings a queen sized bundle with the Snow Hybrid mattress down to $1,945.45 (was $2,993) which is the biggest saving you can enjoy on this mattress right now and a better discount than the 25% off we spotted earlier this month.

3. Casper Adjustable Bundle: was $1,983now $1,288.95 at Casper

3. Casper Adjustable Bundle: twin XL was $1,983 now $1,288.95 at Casper
An adjustable bed base allows you to change the angle you're sleeping at, reducing back ache, easing joint strain, and even helping mitigate snoring. The Casper Adjustable Bundle pairs an adjustable base with either The One or the Dream Mattress, plus a waterproof mattress protector. There's currently 30% off which is a step up from the 30% off sale earlier this month. A queen with the One mattress is now only $1,548.95 (was $2,433.)

Casper mattress sales: is now a good time to buy?

Ever since Casper refreshed its entire mattress lineup in early 2024, the brand has become much more generous with its discounts. Previously, a typical Casper sale would feature 10% to 15% off, with the occasional 30% discount for the now-discontinued Wave Hybrid and Nova Hybrid models. Rarely did we see a larger discount across the board – and even then, it would be a maximum of 25% off.

However, last year marked a new era for Casper. In 2024, we witnessed as much as 35% off the premium Casper Snow Max hybrid mattress and the budget-friendly Casper The One memory foam mattress. The rest of the range were on sale for up to 30% off. These discounts appeared during Casper's Memorial Day and 4th of July mattress sales, and we also saw The One and the Casper Snow reduced by 30% for Labor Day. For the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales, these discounts were increased, offering up to 40% off mattresses across the range.

Meanwhile, Casper's clearance section boasts big price drops on discontinued mattresses, ranging from the premium Casper Wave Hybrid Snow to the basic Casper Essential. These previous-gen models are currently up to 75% off and likely to remain as such. Although there's no guarantee that stock will be as flush by then as sizes are already limited. Also, these mattresses are final sale so you won't be able to send them back.

Which Casper mattress should you choose?

The current Casper lineup features three main models and five mattresses in total. The cheapest is the Casper One (branded as The One). This 11" all-foam mattress has a medium-firm feel and replaces The Casper and The Original. A queen-size retails for $1,245, but it's been as low as $799 in recent sales.

The Casper Dream Hybrid is comparable to the Casper Original Hybrid. It has a core of pocket coils and a layer of ergonomic memory foam that delivers support and relief in the areas you need it most. It retails for $1,875 in a queen-size, although it's been on sale for up to 30% off.

The Casper Dream Max Hybrid assumes the Casper Nova Hybrid's role as a soft yet supportive mattress that'll suit side sleepers, It adds another layer of zoned foam for a total of seven ergonomic layers. The top comfort layer is gooier for more pressure relief – and purportedly more breathable than what's found in the Dream Hybrid. The queen-size retails for $3,125 before discounts.

Rounding out the main lineup are two cooling mattresses. The Casper Snow Hybrid is a revamp of the 2023 model, with a softer (medium) bed feel and updated Snow cooling technology. A queen-size retails for $2,495, with recent sales knocking as much as 30% off.

For maximum cooling relief, there's the Casper Snow Hybrid Max, which is the successor to the Casper Wave Hybrid Snow. It has dual layers of ergonomic memory foam and twice the Heat Delete Bands of the Casper Snow Hybrid. The top layer of Soothe Memory Foam gives it a 'gooey' feel. This is Casper's most expensive mattress. A queen-size retails for $3,745 but it's been discounted up to 35% off since launch.

There's also a Costco-exclusive model, the Casper Cooling Select. It replaces the discontinued Casper Select and adds a cooling cover. Available as a hybrid or all-foam mattress, it's an affordable alternative to Casper's main cooling models.

The best Casper mattresses on sale now

Casper The One Mattress

1. Casper The One mattress deals

The best Casper mattress for back sleepers on a budget

Sizes: Twin to Cal King; also split king | Depth: 11" | Type: Foam | Brand-rated firmness: Medium-firm | Trial: 100 days | Guarantee: 10 years | MSRP: $875 - $2,050

Best value Casper mattress
Great for all-over pressure relief
Should dampen movement well
May be too firm for some
Edges could be sturdier

The Casper One mattress – or simply The One – is the only memory foam mattress in the brand's main lineup. It consists of a responsive top foam comfort layer, a middle layer of pressure-relieving memory foam, and a dense foam support core.

We agree with Casper's assessment of medium-firm. When we tried it hands-on, the surface was much more solid than we'd anticipated. Our tester found it most comfortable for back sleeping, as the foams did an excellent job of distributing her body weight in that position. Side sleepers and smaller bodies may find it too unyielding, while some stomach sleepers might wish it was a touch firmer.

This lack of profound sinkage could help The One sleep cooler than typical foam beds, but we advise hot sleepers to consider either of Casper's cooling models instead. Motion isolation should be on par with the now-discontinued Casper Original mattress (very good), but heavier sleepers could find the edges lacking.

Casper's lone all-foam mattress is also its most affordable – and it's regularly on sale, too. The current Casper mattress sale knocks prices to the lowest we've seen, with a twin going for $599 (reg. $875) and a queen discounted to $799 (reg. $1,245). The standard extras are included: a 10-year warranty and a 100-night sleep trial.

Casper Dream Hybrid Mattress

2. Casper Dream Hybrid mattress deals

The best Casper hybrid mattress for most sleepers

Sizes: Twin to Cal King; also split king | Depth: 12" | Type: Hybrid | Brand-rated firmness: Medium | Trial: 100 days | Guarantee: 10 years | MSRP: $1,495 - $2,990

Great balance of relief and support
Plenty of ease of movement
Sturdy edges for sitting
Doesn't isolate motion as well
Won't hug like memory foam

The Casper Dream Hybrid features an ergonomic memory foam layer that's more supportive under the hips, waist, and lumbar and cushioned along the shoulders and knees for pressure relief. The base consists of wrapped pocket coils plus a dense foam rail for edge support. The top layer of Casper Breathe Flex Foam gives it a responsive bed feel.

In her hands-on review, our tester found the Casper Dream Hybrid the most balanced and comfortable out of the entire Casper lineup. She was comfortable no matter how she lay, which is a testament to the ergonomic foam layer. The Breathe Flex Foam contours nicely but doesn't sink as deeply as memory foam. It's easy to move around on, which bodes well for combi sleepers like our lead tester. The edges are sturdy to sit on, particularly along the middle perimeter, but some Casper customers have complained about a higher-than-average level of motion transfer.

A queen-size Casper Dream Hybrid retails for $1,875 but it's been discounted from launch. We've seen it on sale for as much as 30% off, which dropped the price of a queen to $1,305. A 10-year warranty is included, as is a 100-night sleep trial.

For strict side sleepers or lighter back sleepers, consider the Casper Dream Max. This medium-soft mattress adds a second zoned memory foam layer with narrow channels to cradle your body and has a Breathe+ Flex Foam layer that's purportedly 20% more breathable than standard Breathe Flex Foam. This premium hybrid retails for $3,125 in a queen size, but it's regularly on sale for up to 30% off. Note that it doesn't come in a standard twin size.

3. Casper Snow Max mattress deals

The best Casper mattress for hot sleepers

Sizes: Twin XL to Cal King; also split king | Depth: 14" | Type: Hybrid | Brand-rated firmness: Medium-soft | Trial: 100 days | Guarantee: 10 years | MSRP: $3,125 - $6,250

Comfortable for side and back sleepers
Remarkable cooling tech
Targeted relief and support
Expensive
No twin size
Not for stomach sleepers

The Casper Snow Max is a premium cooling mattress that combines phase change materials with six aluminum graphite Heat Delete Bands for up to 12 hours of continuous heat dissipation, according to the brand. It also features the 7-zone ergonomic support core found in the Casper Dream Max, along with a top memory foam comfort layer that gives the bed its 'gooey,' medium-soft feel. It's wrapped in a specialty cool-touch cover.

During our hands-on assessment, our tester found the Casper Snow Max soft yet supportive for side and back sleeping, a credit to its ergonomic foam layers. The memory foam is indeed squishy but responsive enough that it's not difficult to change positions. We can't speak about the Casper Snow Max's cooling properties at length, our tester immediately noticed its soothing sensation from the moment she sat on it – even with bedsheets on. However, it has most of the same cooling materials as the Casper Wave Hybrid Snow, which is very promising.

The Casper Snow Max is the most expensive mattress in Casper's lineup; a queen retails for $3,745. It's been marked down since launch – but it's still a pricey bed, even after as much as 35% off. It comes with Casper's standard 100-night sleep trial and a 10-year warranty, which are weaker extras relative to the cost. There's no twin XL size, either.

If you can't justify spending that much, try the Casper Snow Hybrid instead. It's still an investment, though – the MSRP for a queen-size is $2,495, with regular savings of up to 30%. The Casper Snow Hybrid has fewer Heat Delete Bands and only three ergonomic zones but otherwise has the same build as the Casper Snow Max. It has a medium feel, which our tester found suitable for side sleeping, but the 'gooeyness' of the top memory foam layer is more pronounced and could be an issue for combi sleepers.

How many years does a Casper mattress last?

A mattress warranty is usually a good indicator of how long you can expect a mattress to last. Casper includes a 10-year warranty with all of its beds, which is within the average of how long a mattress lasts in general.

How you care for your Casper mattress will help you get as much use out of it as possible. Wrapping it in a mattress protector, using a sturdy bed frame or foundation, and rotating your mattress every six months are some ways you can help your mattress last longer.

Try not to put your Casper mattress on the floor, either. Doing so can breed mold and mildew due to the lack of ventilation. Not using a proper bed frame may also void your warranty.

What is the difference between Casper and Purple?

Casper vs. Purple Mattress

Casper and Purple were among the first sleep brands to adopt an online-first shopping model, yet both have since opened brick-and-mortar locations to appeal to the majority of mattress shoppers. They also offer the same trial terms (100 nights) and warranty length (10 years).

While Casper and Purple promise comfier sleep and a relatively seamless buying experience, these are otherwise two very different mattress brands. Below are the key differences between Casper and Purple:

  • Materials: Casper built its reputation with an all-foam mattress and has expanded its lineup to include hybrids. Purple pairs its signature GelFlex Grid with foam and springs.
  • Selection: Casper's current lineup comprises five mattresses, while Purple offers nine mattresses across three collections. Most Purple mattresses sit in the premium price tier, whereas Casper spans the mid-range to premium brackets.
  • Feel: Depending on the materials, a Casper mattress will either have a classic memory foam feel or a firmer, more responsive surface. The Purple GelFlex Grid gives its mattresses a less orthodox, 'jiggly' feel.
  • Sales: Until recently, neither brand was known for consistent sales. Since revamping its lineup, Casper regularly cuts 20% to 35% off. Purple mattress sales are comparatively less frequent and usually shave up to $400 off.

Does Target own Casper?

Target does not own Casper, but the retailer did try to acquire the mattress company for $1 billion in 2017. (Target ultimately made a minority investment.) Casper mattresses and sleep accessories are still available to purchase at Target.com.

As of January 2022, Casper Sleep has been owned by private equity firm Durational Capital Management. In January 2024, Joe Megibow was named CEO of Casper Sleep. (Megibow previously held that position at rival mattress company Purple.) We spoke to Megibow and Casper's VP of Product Development, Russell Jelinek, during a tour of Casper Sleep Labs upon the release of Casper's current lineup.
