My French Bulldog Kermit deserves a treat for National Pet Day, and so does your furry friend — 15 of his favorite dog toys for all breeds and sizes

National Pet Day lands on April 11, and if you're anything like me, it's basically a national holiday in my house. My French Bulldog Kermit is the undisputed king of our household, and he deserves every single treat, toy, and belly rub I can throw his way (well, he demands it).

But if there's one thing I've learned from five years of being a Frenchie dad, it's that not all dog toys are created equal — especially when you've got a chunky little chewer who can destroy a stuffed toy in under 10 minutes (this happens far too regularly for my liking).

Whether you're celebrating National Pet Day with a fancy new toy or want to spoil your furry friend for no reason at all at any other time of the year (no judgment here — Kermit gets a new toy approximately every other weekend), there's something on this list for every dog. My top recommendations would be to start with a KONG Classic and a Chuckit! Ultra Ball, which, when combined, will cover 90% of play styles.

From Kermit and me, happy National Pet Day to all the dogs (and their humans) out there.

Before you go, I'd love to know which pet or pets you have at home. Let us know in the poll below. You can select multiple options if you have a few.
