If you're shopping for a new mattress and can't wait for Black Friday, you're in luck. We've hunted down four mattress sales that are already excellent value for money, including a queen size Avocado Green mattress for $1,679, down from $2,099. That's the lowest price we've seen in a while.

If you're looking at buying one of the best mattresses for your sleep position and budget, the best time to buy is fast approaching. The Black Friday mattress sales are just around the corner and they're guaranteed to bring lowest prices on beds from all the top sleep brands.

While the best deals will appear over the next few weeks, some current offers are unlikely to be bettered by very much on Black Friday, and some brands simply don't change their deals at all. We've picked out the best mattress sales you can shop today with confidence...

1. Avocado Green Mattress: was $1,499 now $1,199 at Avocado

1. Avocado Green Mattress: twin was $1,499 now $1,199 at Avocado
We rate the Avocado Green as the best organic mattress you can buy, because it's a well-made and durable bed made from natural materials and suitable for most types of sleeper. In our Avocado Green Mattress review we found that it sleeps impressively cool and is an ideal pick for back sleepers and heavier sleepers. Side sleepers might find that it doesn't have enough contouring for comfort, however if you need something more plush you can upgrade to a pillow-top or box-top. The Avocado Green isn't always on sale, but right now there's 20% off Avocado mattress sale, bringing a queen down to just $1,649, which is the best price we've seen in ages and unlikely to be bettered on Black Friday.

2. The WinkBed Mattress: was $1,149now $849 at WinkBed

2. The WinkBed Mattress: twin was $1,149 now $849 at WinkBed
The WinkBed comes in three comfort levels: Softer, Luxury Firm and Firmer. For our WinkBed mattress review we tested the Luxury Firm version and concluded that it would be an excellent fit for most sleepers, while the Softer is best for side sleepers and the Firm is a must for committed stomach sleepers. Whichever option you choose it'll set you back $1,499 for a queen in a sale that never changes, so what you pay today will be exactly the same as what you'd pay on Black Friday. For sleepers with a bigger build, we recommend the Plus feel. This, like all the best mattresses for heavy people, comes with an enhanced weight capacity to ensure better support. It also comes with a slightly higher price tag: a queen Plus is $1,699.

3. Nectar Classic Mattress: twin now $349 at Nectar

3. Nectar Classic Mattress: twin now $349 at Nectar
If you want quality at a lower price, the Nectar Classic is just that: a well-performing memory foam mattress gets everything right when it comes to all-over support and pressure relief, and does a really good job when it comes to motion isolation. In our Nectar Classic mattress review, our testers found that its medium-firm feel was a great fir for most sleeping positions, but noted that its edge support could be better. The Nectar mattress sale hardly ever changes: a queen will cost you $649 pretty much every day of the year, and while it could drop for Black Friday, it's unlikely to be by a large amount. You'll get a 365-night trial, free shipping and forever warranty, too.

4. Siena 10" Signature Mattress: twin now $179 at Siena

4. Siena 10" Signature Mattress: twin now $179 at Siena
The Siena 10" Signature mattress is the best cheap mattress we've ever tested. A queen size will cost you just $359 – and that's a price that's unlikely to shift very much for Black Friday. However, it has the feel of a much more expensive bed, thanks to simple design and quality build. It's made with a thin layer of memory foam on top of a thick block of base foam, and delivers a firm feel that back and stomach sleepers will love. It's also great at motion isolation and rather good at regulating temperature, which is surprising for low-priced foam bed. It even comes with a 180-night trial, 10-year warranty and free shipping.
