The stars of the track line up for five days of pulsating action from the Velódromo Peñalolén in Santiago Chile where there are 22 gold medals up from grabs, 11 male and 11 female.

Headlining the women's endurance events is 2025's most successful female rider the Dutch superstar Lorena Wiebes. She has racked up 25 wins on the road and will be keen to add some rainbow bands to her amazing haul but will face tough competition in the shape of Katie Archibald and Ally Wollaston.

In the women’s sprint Britain’s Olympic champion Emma Finucane will be looking for her third world title in a row and in the men’s sprint can GB’s new ‘fastest man in the world’ Matthew Richardson unseat the six time champion Harrie Lavreysen?

In the men's endurance events the Team Ineos time trial star Josh Tarling is making his event debut but will not be in the team pursuit squad instead lining up in the points race and pairing Mark Stewart in the Madison.

And there’s guaranteed to be a new world record as for the first time the women’s individual pursuit will be held over four kilometres instead of three.
