Adelphi has been the most successful team in the tournament, with 15 finals appearances and 9 titles. They’re also the current defending champions, having won the silverware in 2024 and 2025.
In fact, it was Tampa whom they defeated in the 2025 final (9-8) to win their ninth title. Adelphi also has the unique opportunity to become the first team in the history of the tournament to win three consecutive titles.
Tampa, on the other hand, will be making only their third finals appearance, having last won the championship in 2022. That said, Tampa is currently one of the best teams in the league, having won 21 out of 22 matches this season. They’re also on a 14-match winning streak right now.
However, Adelphi’s 2025-26 season run makes Tampa’s season look modest. The Panthers haven’t lost a game this season and are on a hot streak of 19 wins (although a few matches were cancelled). They also absolutely dominated Molloy in the semi-finals, beating them 19-4.
