Black Friday 2025 may be over, but some VPN services have extended their deals across the weekend.
HotSpot Shield is one such VPN service, announcing a surprise Black Friday VPN deal that knocks 50% off the price of its 12-month subscription. At $3.99 per month, it's over $4 per month cheaper than its regular price, and over the 12-month contract, you'll save $48.
The best price we've seen this year – but not the cheapest Black Friday VPN deal
With the introduction of this deal, HotSpot Shield is the cheapest we've seen it this year. The $48 savings across a yearly subscription is definitely nothing to be sniffed at.
With this being said, if you're after the absolute cheapest VPN deal this Black Friday, you'll likely want to look elsewhere.
Each of the best VPN services are currently offering deals that work out to be at least $1 cheaper than HotSpot Shield's, with many of them up to $2 cheaper.
In testing, we've found that all of these VPNs outperform HotSpot Shield in every key area, too, from speed to streaming support to extra features.
NordVPN, currently rated out #1 VPN, is currently $2.99 per month ($80.73 for a 27-month contract). If this is still too pricey for you, you might want to consider Proton VPN, which has dropped to $2.49 per month, a whopping 75% saving compared to its regular price.
ExpressVPN has even gotten in on the savings, despite never offering a Black Friday VPN deal before. This surprise deal has dropped its price to $2.44 per month, which is the lowest it's ever been.
Still not low enough for you? How about Surfshark, whose savings on its Surfshark One subscription mean that you can get full antivirus protection as well as a VPN for just $2.19 per month.
If you like the sound of antivirus and a VPN, but want to pay less than $2 per month for it, then PrivadoVPN may be just what you're looking for. Its Black Friday deal cuts its price down to $1.11 per month.
