Desperately needing a new bed, my husband and I opted for the bestselling Simba Hybrid Pro Mattress in hopes that it would provide the cradling comfort it promises. It did, and that's why I'm glad to announce that you can save up to £351 on the Pro Hybrid Mattress at Simba in the Black Friday sales.

Simba is featured in our best mattresses guide, and it's easy to see why. From absorbing a restless partner's movements for an interrupted sleep to providing cradling comfort to side sleepers, the mattress really is a Pro.

A someone who has a very different sleep schedule to her husband, I love how this mattress is great for couples who bed share. You are very unlikely to be disturbed by the other person's movements thanks to its great motion isolation. The mattress is also instantly comfortable and doesn't need any time to 'break in.' Right now, you can take up to £351 off the Simba Hybrid Pro Mattress, bringing a single down to £599.25, while a king is down to £948.27.

Why I love this mattress

As I said, my husband and I are frequently waking up and going to bed at different times from each other. However, I am rarely woken up by him getting in or out of bed.

My youngest child, who has strong feelings about sleeping in her own bed, often bedshares with us. Aside from the occasional foot to the face, I also don't notice her crawling into the bed.

I'm a predominant side sleeper with hip and back pain (they've been through a lot, thank you, childbirth), and this is something I often struggled with in our previous mattress. However, in the Simba Hybrid Pro, I can sleep on my side all night without any pain.

Although I do like something cushy around my hips, I don't love the feeling of sinking into the bed, like some other memory foam mattresses offer.

I was happy to find that the Simba Hybrid Pro offered the right balance of pressure relief in my hips and shoulders without feeling like the mattress was going to swallow me up.

The only thing I don't love about this mattress is that it does retain some heat. But in all fairness, I am a very hot sleeper and could probably do with one of the best cooling mattresses. My husband, who sleeps at a more normal temperature, rarely overheats in our bed.

The alternative mattress deal if you're a hot sleeper like me...

This mattress received four out of five stars in our Emma Hybrid Airgrid Mattress review. It offers excellent pressure relief for side sleepers and does an equally good job at temperature regulation. We named it the best mattress for side sleepers due to this. You may want to rethink this bed if you are a stomach or back sleeper, as it might be too soft for you to sleep comfortably. Right now, a single is down to £468.30 (was £699) and a double is £699.30 (was £999).
