We track the Saatva mattress sales year-round and $400 off for Labor Day makes right now one of the best times in the calendar year to invest in one of our favorite luxury mattresses.

Of course, Labor Day is followed by Black Friday in November. However, Saatva prices have already risen a few times this year due to the increased cost of goods driven by mattress tariffs. So it's possible that Labor Day is your last chance to buy a Saatva mattress before prices creep up again.

Saatva Labor Day mattress sales FAQ

When does the Saatva Labor Day sale 2026 start?

Labor Day 2026 isn't until Monday September 7, but Saatva launched their holiday sale on August 14. That closely mirrors what we tracked last year, when Saatva launched our $400 off semi-exclusive deal on August 20.

That means you'll have roughly two and a half weeks to shop the Saatva Labor Day deals before the holiday itself.

After that, Saatva tends to wrap up their sale quickly. That means you'll need to get your shopping done by September 7 or risk missing out on this $400 saving on every size.

Where to find the best Saatva Labor Day mattress sales

Saatva mattresses are sold online and the Saatva website hosts the full collection of mattresses, toppers, bedding, pillows and sleep accessories, as well as furniture.

Saatva mattresses aren't sold via third-party retailers, although you can find pillows and mattress toppers on the Saatva Amazon store. Prices here typically match the discounts direct from Saatva and no Saatva mattresses are available on Amazon.

You also won't find Saatva mattresses in standard mattresses stores. But if you want to try before you buy, head to a Saatva Viewing Room. There are 25 Saatva Viewing Rooms located around the U.S., including the stores below:

  • New York – 969 Third Ave, New York, NY 10022
  • Washington DC – 1714 14th Street NW, Washington, DC 20009
  • San Francisco – 128 Post Street, San Francisco, CA 94108
  • Los Angeles – 8715 Melrose Ave, West Hollywood, CA 90069
  • Boston – 90 Newbury Street, Boston, MA 02116
  • Chicago – 1534 North Halsted, Street Chicago, IL 60642
  • Dallas – 3699 McKinney Ave, Dallas, TX, 75204
  • Charlotte – 4425 Sharon Rd, Suite #150, NC 28211
  • Portland – 1010 NW Flanders St. Suite 100, OR 97209
  • Philadelphia – 1712 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103
  • Seattle – 4715 25th Ave. NE, Seattle, WA 98105
  • San Diego – 4545 LaJolla Village Dr, Suite C6, CA 92122

At a Viewing Room, Saatva sleep experts will guide you through the collection, helping you choose the Saatva mattress that's right for you. Note that you can't take a mattress home from a Viewing Room — any purchases will be made online and sent to your door.

With the 365-night trial giving you ample time to test the bed at home, we think the Viewing Rooms are a bonus, but not a necessity. Learn more with our guide to buying a Saatva mattress.

Is Labor Day a good time to buy a Saatva mattress?

Labor Day has traditionally been a good time to buy a Saatva mattress and this trend continued in 2025, with $400 off all mattress orders over $1,000. This echoes the sale we saw for the 4th of July and Memorial Day earlier this year.

In 2025, we saw $400 off orders over $1,000 in the Labor Day sale at Saatva, reducing a queen Saatva Classic to $1,739 (was $2,139.) The same deal returned for Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2025.

Since then the MSRP of the Classic has risen (this is due to the increased cost of goods and potential mattress tariffs) so we don't think we'll see that low price again.

However, based on previous trends, we predict whatever Saatva deal we see for Labor Day will likely return for the Black Friday mattress sales.

How to choose the best Saatva mattress for you in Labor Day sales

Saatva has an impressive line-up of mattresses to suit every sleep style (the Saatva Classic alone has most of us covered.) One of the advantages of the longer sales period is you have ample time to decide which bed is right for you — and as Saatva charges a $99 return fee, it's worth getting right the first time.

When choosing a mattress, it's important to consider your sleep position. Lie on your side? The best mattresses for side sleepers are typically plush, to cushion the touch points at the shoulders and hips (the Contour5 is a good choice.) Back and stomach sleepers, however, need a firmer feel — the best mattresses for stomach sleepers deliver ample support (consider the Classic in a Firm.)

Also, think about your sleep needs. Those who share a bed might need a mattress with superior motion isolation (all-foam beds like the Saatva Contour5 mattress typically excel here) while hot sleepers might prioritize the breathable feel of a natural mattress, like the Zenhaven Latex mattress.

Saatva also offers nearly every type of mattress, from hybrid to latex to one of the best memory foam mattresses we've tested. They even have smart beds covered with the Saatva Solaire.

There's a lot to consider, so head to our guide to the best Saatva mattresses to get you started.

How much should you pay for a Saatva mattress in Labor Day sales?

Saatva mattresses are luxurious hand-crafted beds and their premium price tag reflects this. You can expect to pay around $1,500 to $3,500 for a queen size adult Saatva mattress in the sale (while the smart Solaire mattress will set you back upwards of $4,000.)

Currently, a queen Saatva Classic mattress has an MSRP of $2,229, which is $90 more than the one we observed during Labor Day 2025 ($2,139.) It's highly unlikely that the MSRP will drop any lower the closer we get to Labor Day but we do predict a bigger discount is on the horizon.

Saatva mattresses cost a premium amount but they do also include premium benefits, such as a 365-night trial and a lifetime warranty, plus free white glove delivery and old mattress removal — a perk that can cost upwards of $200 at other brands.

And if you're wondering how long does a Saatva mattress last, the good news is that these high-quality beds typically have a lifespan of 10-15 years.
