Based on Lauren Kate's bestselling novels, "Fallen" follows Lucinda "Luce" Price, a teenager sent to the mysterious Sword & Cross facility after a tragedy she can't remember clearly. Once there, she finds herself drawn to two enigmatic young men, Daniel and Cam, and starts uncovering a much stranger story involving fallen angels, buried memories and a romance that stretches back centuries.

Below, we’ll walk you through how to watch "Fallen" from anywhere with a VPN, and how to stream it for free in the U.K.

'Fallen' release date and time

All eight episodes of "Fallen" are expected to land on ITVX on Sunday, May 3, 2026, with the full first season available as a box set.

• U.S. AMC+ / Sundance Now
• Canada Showcase / STACKTV

The TV adaptation first rolled out internationally in 2024, but it's only now arriving on ITVX in the U.K. on Sunday, May 3, 2026.

That makes this release less of a straight debut and more of a second chance for a franchise that never really found its footing on film. The series also appears to be leaning harder into psychological mystery and dark fantasy than the 2016 movie did, which should make it a better fit for long-form television.

If you've been waiting to see whether "Fallen" could work better on the small screen, this is the version to watch.

Can I watch 'Fallen' for free?

Yes. From May 3, ITVX in the U.K. will have the full boxset of Fallen available for free.

How many episodes are in 'Fallen'?

The first season of "Fallen" has eight episodes, each running at roughly 50 minutes.

What is 'Fallen' about?

"Fallen" follows Luce, a 17-year-old sent to Sword & Cross after a tragic incident she can't remember, where she becomes entangled with two mysterious young men and discovers a supernatural history involving fallen angels.

Is it faithful to the books?

The TV series takes a fairly loose approach to Lauren Kate’s novels. It keeps the central characters and the Sword & Cross setting, but updates the material with a darker, more mature tone and a cult-like thread built around experiments.

One of the biggest changes is Daniel’s role in the mystery. In the books, he already knows the truth about their shared past, but in the show, that revelation becomes part of a journey he and Luce take together.

Will there be a Season 2?

There’s still no official renewal for "Fallen" from ITVX or the original producers, but director Matthew Hastings has hinted that a second season may be on the table, potentially drawing on the third novel, "Passion."
