A surprise mea culpa has served as the latest twist in a strange buildup to WrestleMania 42's main event. Having bowed out last December in low-key fashion unbecoming of an all-time WWE legend, it isn't difficult to imagine him taking revenge on Gunther. It wouldn't be the first time a WrestleMania host has got involved. Just ask "Stone Cold" Steve Austin or Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
There are 13 matches on the card in total, including eight title fights, but the "so-called" lower-stakes showdowns, such as Oba Femi's seismic meeting with Brock Lesnar and Jacob Fatu's grudge match with Drew McIntyre, are every ounce as compelling.
