Littler, as is usually the case, will start as favorite. The teenager is the reigning world champion and World Matchplay champion, the latter his most recent major tournament at the end of July, beating the ever-dependable James Wade 18-12 in the final.

Littler's main competition is likely to come from Luke Humphries. The world number one beat the young prodigy to win the 2025 Premier League and has the bottle and double finishing to take Littler into places he doesn't like.

Elsewhere, you can never count out Michael van Gerwen. The Dutchman has one tournament win on the European Tour this year (the 2025 German Darts Grand Prix) and still possesses the scoring power to do damage.

Other former world champions include Gary Anderson (twice a European Tour winner this year), Gerwyn Price, Peter Wright and Rob Cross. You won't wan to miss a second of the top tungsten action.
