The champagne's popped, the new year's started, and holiday sales are drying up fast. Apple deals can be hard to come by any time of year, so I was surprised to see the MacBook Air, the best MacBook you can buy and one of the best laptops on the market, still going for hundreds of dollars off this weekend.
For example, Amazon has M4-based MacBooks on sale from $799. This killer Apple deal includes both the 13-inch ($799) and 15-inch ($999) M4 MacBook Air. Every storage option is $200 off right now, so you won't need to skimp on space either.
If you don't need the latest and greatest Apple has to offer, the M1 MacBook Air is down to $599 at Walmart, making it the most affordable MacBook Air out there at the moment. If you're struggling to decide, we've got you covered with a guide to the biggest upgrades between the M4 and M1 MacBook Air models.

The new MacBook Air is powered by Apple's latest M4 chipset. The new Mac upgrades the camera from 1080p to 12MP with Center Stage support. The M4 chipset also supports dual external monitors, even when you have the laptop's lid open. It packs a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display (2560 x 1664), Apple's M4 CPU w/ 10-core GPU, 16GB of RAM, and 256GB SSD. In our MacBook Air M4 review, we said the Editor's Choice laptop is irresistible thanks to its speedy performance, sharper camera, and lower starting price.
Prefer a bigger screen? The 15-inch model is also on sale. It packs a 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display (2880 x 1864), Apple's M4 CPU w/ 10-core GPU, 16GB of RAM, and 256GB SSD.
The MacBook Air 15-inch with M3 combines performance and portability to make a superb laptop that will impress anyone. With its gorgeous 15.3-inch display, over 15 hours of battery life and a nice boost in performance with its 16GB of RAM, it's already a winner in our books — now made even better with a $100 discount.
The MacBook Air M1 offers fantastic performance and value. The M1 CPU never stuttered in our tests and also helped it reach over 14 hours of battery life. It features a 13.3-inch Retina display, Apple M1 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD. In our MacBook Air M1 review, we said it offers amazing endurance and shockingly good speed.
