Mattress Firm released a $499 queen hybrid in time for Black Friday — and now it comes with a free adjustable base
Save $300 when you pair the new Sleepy's By Sealy Skye Hybrid Mattress with a basic adjustable base
Mattress Firm's Black Friday sale is live — and the top deal is for its brand-new budget hybrid. Right now, bring home a queen size Sleepy's by Sealy Skye Hybrid Mattress with a free Sleepy's Basic Adjustable Base for $499.99 at Mattress Firm. That's a $300 savings and a fantastic price for a mattress and adjustable base combo.
It's a myth that the best mattresses have to cost a fortune. I went hands-on with the new Sleepy's Skye Hybrid and would not be surprised if anyone mistook it for a higher-end luxury mattress. The adjustable base is a simple remote-controlled model, but it can still make a major difference if you like to elevate your head at night.

Sleepy's by Sealy Skye Hybrid Mattress + Sleepy's Basic Adjustable Base: queen was $799.98 now $499.98 at Mattress Firm
This latest addition to Mattress Firm's exclusive Sleepy's brand is a 10" hybrid of foam and springs, with a medium firmness to accommodate side, back, and stomach sleepers. Inside, you'll find a gel memory foam comfort layer, a polyfoam transition layer, and a bed of pocket coils that are firmer along the perimeter to boost edge support. It’s finished with a stretch-knit cover featuring an embroidered floral pattern and a lovely blue hue that’s almost too pretty to cover with sheets. During the Mattress Firm Black Friday Sale, you can pair this already-affordable mattress-in-a-box with a basic remote-controlled adjustable base at no extra charge — saving you $300 while elevating your nighttime comfort in a major way.
I had the chance to see the new Sleepy's by Sealy Skye Hybrid Mattress up close at a recent Mattress Firm event and was especially impressed by its edge support. I was able to sit on the side of the bed for over 10 minutes without any discomfort. This bodes well if you need to sit on the edge to get up or down.
The build quality doesn't suggest it's a budget mattress, either — then again, it's manufactured by Sealy, which is a legacy brand with a sound reputation. It's unlikely Mattress Firm will introduce any further discounts on the Sleepy's Skye Hybrid this soon after release, but it's already an incredible value.
It comes with a 10-year limited warranty, a 120-night sleep trial, and free delivery.

Siena Premier Hybrid Mattress: queen now $424 at Siena
Going for this budget hybrid from Siena will grant you a slightly firmer feel than the Sleepy's Skye Hybrid, but once again, this is a cheap bed that feels anything but. In my Siena Premier Hybrid Mattress review, I praised its excellent ease of movement, strong edge support, and gentle contouring for light to mid-weight sleepers. (Heavier sleepers will experience too much give in their hips and lower back.) If you don't need the adjustable base, this deal is a solid alternative. Siena offers a generous 180-night trial, too.
