WWE Crown Jewel 2025, predictions and storylines

  • Tag Team Match: Rhea Ripley & Iyo Sky vs. The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka, Kairi Sane)
  • Australian Street Fight: Bronson Reed vs. Roman Reigns
  • Singles Match: John Cena vs. AJ Styles
  • Women's Crown Jewel Championship Match: Stephanie Vaquer vs. Tiffany Stratton
  • Men's Crown Jewel Championship Match: Seth Rollins vs. Cody Rhodes

Taking place at Perth's RAC Arena today, WWE's long weekend in Australia continues with the latest edition of Crown Jewel.

Much like last year's WWE Crown Jewel PLE from Saudi Arabia, two of the bigger talking points are the Crown Jewel Championships that are up for grabs. In the expected main event, it's World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins facing WWE Champion Cody Rhodes for the men's Crown Jewel Title. With a storied history that dates back even further than the American Nightmare's WWE return at WrestleMania 38, these two heated rivals go to battle once again, with Rollins facing the potential loss of his Vision faction should he come up short against a man who's up 3-0 against Seth in recent years.

For the women's Crown Jewel Championship, it's a slightly less personal affair as Women's World Champion Stephanie Vaquer goes against WWE Women's Champion Tiffany Stratton. Lacking the vitriol of Rollins vs. Rhodes, this one is more a case of Vaquer and Stratton going one-on-one to find out who the better woman is, rather than any major grudge between the pair. That said, tensions did rise when La Primera and Tiffy teamed up on SmackDown yesterday, as Crown Jewel got closer.

In terms of grudges, one of the greatest rivalries of both men's careers is reignited for one last round as John Cena and AJ Styles step between the ropes as part of Cena's ongoing retirement tour. A match many fans have hoped for once Big Match John announced his retirement for the end of 2025, Cena and the Phenomenal One will look to recapture the utter magic that made their 2017 and 2017 battles so memorable.

Speaking of memorable, it's sure to be a hugely memorable night for Rhea Ripley and Bronson Reed, as these two Australians return to home soil. For Rhea, she teams with Iyo Sky to take on Sky's former buddies, the Kabuki Warriors. And for Big Bronson, Auszilla gets the biggest match of his career when he faces Roman Reigns in an Australian Street Fight.

WWE tends to operate with a five-match PLE card under the stewardship of Triple H when it comes to shows like Crown Jewel, and while there's always a small chance of another match or two being added to the line-up by the time bell time gets here, that seems unlikely.
