For all its glitz and glamor, it's rare that events in Monte Carlo have a decisive sway over the ultimate drivers' standings at the end of the season. Yet, considering the lead that Kimi Antonelli has already built up, a win from pole today at the 2026 Monaco Grand Prix (June 5-7) would make the task of the rest of the grid extremely hard to reel him back in before we reach Abu Dhabi in December.

Monaco Grand Prix 2026: Schedule & Streams

  • Race Date: Today (Sunday, June 7)
  • Start Time U.S. (ET): 9 a.m.
  • Start Time U.K. (BST): 2 p.m.
  • Start Time Aus (AEST): 11 p.m.
  • Watch from anywhere — NordVPN (100% risk free)

The 19-year-old cruised to a fourth consecutive victory in Canada, putting more than 40 points between him and fellow Mercedes driver George Russell after only five races gone. For the other drivers and constructors, they can only look at last year's events on the streets of Monaco and hope it bodes badly for Antonelli and co. Mercedes had a shocker here in 2025, unable to take away a single point.

It's been so far so good for the young Italian, however, as Antonelli put on an electric showing in qualifying to put him at the front of today's grid. He has Max Verstappen alongside him, with the twin Ferraris of Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc just behind. Russell is way back in sixth, while McLaren's woes continue with Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris only managing seventh and eighth respectively.

Taking place over 78 laps of the famous street circuit, neutral fans will simply be hoping for more of a spectacle than the narrow straights, tight hairpins and winding slaloms have been able to yield over recent years.
