The EGOHOME Black 12" Hybrid Mattress is a great pick for those on a budget, and now it's even less thanks to an extended Labor Day sale. Code LABORDAY15 knocks an extra 15% off, bringing a queen-size EGOHOME Black Hybrid to $374 (reg. $799) at EGOHOME. That's astonishingly good value for what is a substantial and well-made mattress.

As with all of the best mattresses, EGOHOME provides a sleep trial (100 nights) so you can take your time settling in. At this price, it's an ideal fit for guest rooms and college dorms — but if you want to pay even less, take advantage of this late Labor Day mattress sale before it's too late.

EGOHOME Black 12" Hybrid Mattress: twin was $549 now $280 with code LABORDAY15 at EGOHOME
I reviewed the EGOHOME mattress back in June and in my EGOHOME Black 12" Hybrid Mattress review, I felt it was a good choice for side sleepers of an average and heavier weight, along with those who sleep warm. The EGOHOME has good temperature regulation and excellent edge support, but a lack of upper body support means I wouldn't recommend this mattress to stomach sleepers and many back sleepers. Still, it's a fantastic price and a great option for guest rooms and college dorms - we rated its all-foam counterpart one of the best cheap mattresses you can buy. Apply code LABORDAY15 for an extra 15% off the sale price and a queen-size falls from $439.99 to $374. You'll also get a 100-night trial, 10-year warranty, and free shipping.

Note: If you're shopping for a queen-size in particular, you'll find it for less at Amazon, where it's on sale for $359.99. However, the 100-night trial period won't apply, so proceed with caution.

Siena Memory Foam mattress: now $179 at Siena Sleep

Siena Memory Foam mattress: twin now $179 at Siena Sleep
During testing for our Siena Memory Foam mattress review, our tester found the mattress much firmer than Siena’s rating of 6.5/10, rating it at a 9/10. We think it's one of the best mattresses for stomach sleepers you can buy, but many back sleepers will also enjoy its firmer support to help keep the spine aligned and hips lifted. The Siena is never sold at full MSRP and you can pick up a queen for $359 (MSRP $749) along with a 180-night trial, 10-year warranty and free shipping. This it Siena's evergreen offer so you don't have to rush to buy this one — but it's a great value all the same.

What Jo doesn't know about a boxed mattress isn't worth knowing, so naturally we tasked her with producing a series of features for Tom's Guide looking at all aspects of mattresses, from how to pick between latex and memory foam (it's a tricky one), to the seven mistakes people make when buying a mattress for the first time. When testing the DreamCloud Luxury Hybrid for Tom's Guide, Jo said: "I loved the back support and pressure relief it offered. Plus, it looks far more expensive than it is." When she isn’t writing about sleep, Jo also writes extensively on interior design, home products and photography.
