The MTV VMAs live from the glitzy UBS Arena. New York will see LL Cool J return to host, welcoming the likes of Jelly Roll, Doja Cat, Post Malone and Lady Gaga to the stage while handing out some of the most sought after awards in the biz.

Pop icon Lady Gaga leads the nominations this year with a whopping twelve nods including big categories such as Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Video of the Year and Best Album. Meanwhile, Bruno Mars and Kendrick Lamar both boast ten nominations.

But all three face stiff competition from some of the biggest names in the industry with Billie Eilish, Sabrina Carpenter, The Weekend, Taylor Swift, Charlie XCX and Ariana Grande all up for awards in the major categories, including the new Best Pop Artist award. Meanwhile, a trio of icon awards will be dished out, with Busta Rhymes set to receive the Rock the Bells Visionary Award, while Ricky Martin will be honoured with the Latin Icon Award. Music industry queen Mariah Carey, meanwhile, will be this year's recipient of the Video Vanguard Award.

Also set to perform are Sabrina Carpenter, Alex Warren, Ricky Martin, Tate McRae and more, with Carey set to deliver what is sure to be an iconic performance.

The 2025 VMAs will air on CBS and MTV on Sunday, September 7 at 8 p.m ET / 5 p.m. PT.

There's no option to live stream the MTV VMAs 2025 for U.K. music fans, however, the show will air in full, including the pre-show coverage, the following day — Monday, September 8 — from 8 p.m. BST on MTV.
