The winner of "The Road" will receive $250,000, a record deal, and a slot at the Stagecoach Music Festival 2026. But first, they must impress the judges...

Gretchen Wilson serves as “tour manager,” while a judging panel including Urban, Blake Shelton, Taylor Sheridan and guest country stars – plus the live audience – help decide which musician advances.

Urban, who recently split from Nicole Kidman, explained, “Paying your dues sucks, but there are things in this business that can’t be taught… touring has always been my first love.”

Is "Yellowstone" creator Taylor Sheridan in "The Road"?

Yes — Taylor Sheridan, best known as co-creator of Yellowstone, is involved with The Road as one of the executive producers and creators.

In CBS' press materials, The Road is described as a co-creation by Blake Shelton and Taylor Sheridan, with Sheridan serving behind the scenes in its development.

CBS says: “Urban, along with executive producers Blake Shelton, Taylor Sheridan, ‘Tour Manager’ Gretchen Wilson, and guest country stars … decide … who advances.”

So, while Sheridan is not a a host, it sounds like he does appear on camera and is a creative force behind "The Road".
