Timothee Chalamet has been working overtime to promote "Marty Supreme" for awards season, but it's been superceded by "One Battle After Another", "Sentimental Value" and "Sinners" in the nominations count at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards. Surprisingly, the dud that was "The White Lotus" season 3 leads the TV nominations, followed by "Adolescence".

Read on as we explain how to watch Golden Globes 2026 from anywhere with a VPN.

The annual Hollywood shindig has served up an eclectic slate, a real mishmash of safe bets and curveballs. Paul Thomas Anderson's slightly overblown action comedy could well sweep the board, with Leonardo DiCaprio, Chase Infiniti, Benicio del Toro, Sean Penn, Teyana Taylor and PTA himself all amongst the favorites in their respective categories.

However, the inclusion of "Blue Moon", Richard Linklater's compelling but hugely overlooked character study of Lorenz Hart starring Ethan Hawke, Margaret Qualley, Bobby Cannavale and Andrew Scott, amongst the Best Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy nominees is a welcome surprise.

"Superman" has been completely snubbed despite being one of the most discussed blockbusters of the year, albeit one that critics and audiences vehemently disagreed on — the inverse "Emilia Pérez" effect, if you will — as has Wunmi Mosaku, the breakout star of "Sinners". "The Bear" season 4 is up for three awards despite a poor reception, and yes, it's still being treated as a comedy entry — but then again so is Bill Maher.

Arguably the strangest decision, however, concerns Netflix phenomenon “KPop Demon Hunters”, which is up for the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement award, despite having had a blink-and-you'll-miss-it theatrical release.
