Sleep is the first thing affected when I'm stressed, with racing thoughts making it difficult to fall (and stay) asleep — and I'm not alone. According to a survey from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, 74% of Americans report experiencing disrupted sleep due to stress.
However, it's now officially Stress Awareness Month, so I've invested in products that help me build a relaxing nighttime routine for better sleep. "Think of your nighttime routine as a gentle signal to your nervous system that it’s safe to power do," says Dr. Bijal Chheda is the Founder of Nos Curare.
I've curated a relaxing sleep kit featuring products that help me unwind, from a cooling weighted blanket for refreshing comfort to a relaxing room mist. I've also included a silk mask, which Dr. Chheda recommends "to block out external light", and the noise-blocking ear plugs that I use every night for a disturbance-free sleep.
