Known for delivering luxury sleep in a box to your door, online bed brand DreamCloud's new PressureSmart mattress collection sounds like it might be a dream for those tired of waking up with back pain — and it's available from $849 at DreamCloud.

DreamCloud already sits among the best mattresses you can buy online, with the DreamCloud Classic Hybrid impressing our expert testers with its support and cushioning for side sleepers.

Featuring integrated lumbar support, DreamCloud's new PressureSmart collection aims to provide better rest for those experiencing back and hip pain. Available in Plush, Firm, Extra Firm, and Plush Pillow Top feels, prices start at $849 for a Plush in the current sale (was $849.) Currently, a Firm queen sells for $1,549 while the Extra Firm queen is reduced from $2,099 to $1,399. All models come with a 365-night trial and lifetime warranty.

DreamCloud PressureSmart Mattress: Price

Each mattress model in the PressureSmart collection is priced individually and while DreamCloud is known for its long-running mattress sales, at the moment discounts are hit and miss.

Here's a breakdown of the prices for a queen PressureSmart mattress:

  • PressureSmart Firm queen: $1,549
  • PressureSmart Plush queen: $1,649 (MSRP), currently on sale for $999
  • PressureSmart Extra Firm queen: $2,099 (MSRP), currently on sale for $1,399
  • PressureSmart Plush Pillow Top queen: $1,849 (MSRP)

In context, a queen DreamCloud Classic Hybrid Mattress typically sells for $649, while the Premier Hybrid will set you back $1,099, the Luxe Hybrid $1,499 and the Ultra Hybrid $1,999 (all queen sizes.)

At full MSRP, the Plush Pillow Top and Extra Firm model are comparable to the top-rated Saatva Classic (MSRP $2,179 but often $1,879 in the Saatva mattress sale.)

The Plush, on the other hand, is only $999 for a queen on sale — that's comparable to popular mid-range beds such as the Brooklyn Bedding CopperFlex Pro Hybrid or the Nectar Premier Memory Foam mattress.

As a new launch we'll be keeping an eye out for future DreamCloud mattress sales.

The PressureSmart collection also has the excellent benefits we've come to expect from DreamCloud. A 365-night trial (that's a full year to test at home) is market-leading, as is the lifetime warranty.

If you want to try before you buy, PressureSmart mattresses are also available at Mattress Firm and can be tested at select Mattress Firm locations. (one reviewer has already praised the Extra Firm for helping them "sleep like a "baby.")

DreamCloud PressureSmart Mattress: Features

DreamCloud is best known for its hybrid mattresses, with the flagship Classic model taking the top spot in our guide to the best mattresses in a box (it can't be beat for value for money.) If that doesn't take your fancy, you can try a Premier, Luxe or Ultra alternative.

But with the PressureSmart collection, the brand takes a different approach. The PressureSmart design is sold in four mattress firmnesses: Plush, Firm, Extra Firm Pillow Top and Plush Pillow Top.

It's a touch we typically see from the best luxury mattresses — Saatva, Beautyrest and Tempur-Pedic often offer different feels of popular beds.

And it could be good news if you've struggled to choose a DreamCloud that suits your sleep needs, as you can tailor the feel to your sleep style and preferences. Side sleepers, try the plush. Stomach sleepers, Extra Firm is calling.

However, the real centerpiece of the mattress is the PressureSmart support technology, a "Lumbar Support Band" that lies across the middle third of the mattress and is backed by a "tailored" foam layer beneath to provide relief to the whole body.

Targeted support bands aren't new to mattresses. The Saatva Classic earned first place in our guide to the best mattresses for back pain in large part thanks to its lumbar crown support layer.

But additional support in this area helps keep your hips and lower back lifted, reducing pressure on the spine. And according to DreamCloud, the result should be "deep, restorative comfort", plus morning's free from aches.

As our DreamCloud Classic Hybrid Mattress review team were already impressed with the pressure relief of this more basic model, we're excited to see what the PressureSmart has to offer.
