Paramount+ is the perfect streaming service for finding your next movie marathon. It adds dozens of movies at the beginning of each month; it just added 147 new movies and shows on April 1. But it also adds new movies from Paramount Skydance studios on an ongoing basis.

With that many newly added movies to choose from, though, it can be tough to know which movie to start with. The good news for you is that I've looked through the full list, and I've found the three movies you need to watch first this weekend. There are a few movies that are among the best of the 2010s that you can't miss now that they're on Paramount+, but there's also one of the biggest horror movies of the year, which was just recently added.

'Nebraska' (2013)

Genre: Comedy-drama

What's it about? Against his better judgment, David (Will Forte) agrees to drive his father, Woody (Bruce Dern), from Billings, Montana, to Lincoln, Nebraska. Woody thinks that he won $1 million in a sweepstakes, and even though David knows better, he decides to spend time with his aged father. But when they arrive at Woody's hometown of Hawthorne, Nebraska, Woody tells everyone he won the money, and now David and his brother, Ross (Bill Odenkirk), are struggling to convince the locals that the money isn't real.

Why you should watch it: This movie isn't about the money. It's about life's regrets, coming home to a place you don't remember fondly and an examination of small-town living. The performances are incredible, the black-and-white cinematography is perfect and Alexander Payne's direction is immaculate. This movie should have won Best Picture, one of the six Oscars it was nominated for in 2013.

'The Social Network'

Genre: Biographical drama

What's it about? "The Social Network" is a David Fincher film that revisits the founding of Facebook by Harvard University students Mark Zuckerberg (Jesse Eisenberg) and Eduardo Saverin (Andrew Garfield). It hops back and forth between the past and present and centers around Zuckerberg fighting lawsuits on two fronts. One is from Saverin, and one is from the Winklevoss twins (both played by Armie Hammer), both over ownership of Facebook.

Why you should watch it: Directed by Fincher and written by Aaron Sorkin, this movie being bad would be more shocking than it being a masterpiece. It's now considered one of the best movies of the 2010s, and established Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross (Nine Inch Nails) as some of the best score composers of their generation. It's a must-watch, whether you've seen it before or not.

'Primate' (2026)

Genre: Horror

What's it about? Lucy Pinborough (Johnny Sequoyah) returns home to Hawaii after years away. She's overjoyed to see her family's adopted pet chimpanzee, Ben, but that joy quickly turns to fear when Ben turns violent after being bitten by a rabid mongoose.

Why you should watch it: A killer animal on the loose is a horror trope that isn't broken, so it doesn't need fixing. "Primate" makes no effort to reinvent the wheel and delivers a taut, 89-minute quest for survival as Ben starts picking off people one by one.
