After Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans' "KPop Demon Hunters" became Netflix's latest must-see movie, the streaming service is giving fans the chance to see Rumi, Mira, and Zoey kick butt on the big screen, for a limited time only.
Yes, after dominating Netflix's top 10 movies list for months now, the streamer is bringing "KPop Demon Hunters" to select theaters for a special sing-along event in just a few days.
If the idea of belting out Huntrix's killer tracks together with your friends at your local movie theater appeals, you'll have to act fast, though.
This limited theatrical release will run over one weekend (August 23 - 24) and will see "KPop Demon Hunters" hitting the silver screen in theaters in a few key territories.
Initially, we reported that this would happen in the US and Canada only, though (per Netflix) "KPop Demon Hunters" theatrical screenings will be held in theaters across the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the UK this coming weekend.

What is 'KPop Demon Hunters' about?
If you've somehow managed to avoid the movie that's practically been Netflix's No. 1 watch all summer, "KPop Demon Hunters" is an animated adventure about three Kpop superstars: Rumi (Arden Cho), Mira (May Hong), and Zoey (Ji-young Yoo).
As the band Huntrix, the trio sells out stadiums and performs for their legions of fans... while using their powers to protect humanity from ever-present demonic threats. But their world's turned upside down when the demon world spits out its most dangerous foe yet in the form of the Saja Boys, an uber-charming rival boyband comprised of demons in disguise.
"KPop Demon Hunters" has already become both the most-watched Netflix animated original film of all time and is, at the time of writing, now ranked as Netflix's second most-watched movie, ever, second only to "Red Notice."

Martin is a Streaming Writer at Tom’s Guide, covering all things movies and TV. If it’s in the theaters or available to stream somewhere, he’s probably watched it… especially if it has a dragon in it. Before joining the team, he was a Staff Writer at What To Watch where he wrote about a broad range of shows that stretched from "Doctor Who" and "The Witcher" to "Bridgerton" and "Love Island". When he’s not watching the next must-see movie or show, he’s probably still in front of a screen playing massive RPGs, reading, spending a fortune on TCGs, or watching the NFL.
