The Fitbit Air is finally here, but if you’re looking for something a little less bare-bones and more feature-packed — the Air is designed to be a screen-less, distraction-free device — then I recommend taking a look at the Fitbit Charge 6.

Not only is the Charge 6 one of the best fitness trackers in 2026, despite launching in 2023, but it's a more capable tracker than the newer Fitbit Air.

Better yet, the Fitbit Charge 6 is on sale right now for 20% off at Walmart. That drops the price to $127 from $159, making the Fitbit Charge 6 nearly as affordable as the $99 Fitbit Air. And that's not the only Fitbit on sale right now...

Fitbit Charge 6 vs Fitbit Air

Fitbit Charge 6
Fitbit Charge 6: was $159 now $127 at Walmart

The easy-wearing Fitbit Charge 6 boasts accurate heart rate tracking, support for Google Maps and Google Wallet, a bright and well-saturated display, and impressive sleep insights.

Think of the Charge 6 as the Fitbit Air’s older brother. The two are similarly slender and easy to wear, but the Charge 6 sports an AMOLED screen — albeit a small one — and a host of ‘smart’ features, including support for NFC payments, turn-by-turn directions via Google Maps, mirrored smartphone notifications, and music/media controls.

Another advantage of the Fitbit Charge 6: It sports an onboard GPS antenna, which allows you to track outdoor workouts without needing to carry your paired smartphone. That said, in my testing, the Fitbit Air proved to be just as accurate as the new, pricier Garmin Forerunner 70 when you do carry your phone along.

Save on the Fitbit Inspire 3, too

If you're intrigued by the Fitbit Air, but are looking to save some money or prefer a wearable with a screen, the Fitbit Inspire 3 is nearly as slender and supports nearly all the same tracking features.

In addition to the Fitbit Charge 6 deal, the smaller, more entry-level Fitbit Inspire 3 — which sports an even smaller screen than the Charge 6 and similarly lacks GPS like the Air — is also on sale for 15% off on Amazon, bringing the price down from $99 to $84.
