Hunting for an iPhone deal this Amazon Prime Day? You're in luck, as Apple's budget model is even cheaper than usual during the latest sale.

The iPhone 16e, a member of TG's best cheap phones guide, is currently listed for £494 on Amazon, a 10% discount on the list price and the cheapest we've yet seen the phone on sale for. That goes for both the white and black versions of the phone, giving you the freedom to pick your favourite colour.

It would be remiss of us not to point out that there's a 15% discount on the 256GB iPhone 16e too, taking it to £594, if you'd prefer a little more storage space.

The latest budget iPhone offers a surprising amount of value, with its powerful chipset, long-lasting battery and all the benefits of being part of the iOS and Apple ecosystem. And for U.K. customers, all this comes for Amazon's lowest price yet.

If the basic 128GB version of the iPhone 16e isn't enough space for all your photos, files and apps, this edition doubles the capacity for only another £50 or so.

The iPhone 16e launched earlier this year, offering a much upgraded basic iPhone experience. While the iPhone 17 series is a step up, it's also £300 more than the discounted 16e is right now. Despite the lower price, Apple still gives users a colourful 6.1-inch OLED display, a mighty A18 chipset complete with Apple Intelligence AI features, good battery life and a surprisingly strong single rear camera.

What you lack are some of Apple's more premium features, like MagSafe charging, or a Dynamic Island floating notch. A number of camera modes are missing too, due to the lack of an ultrawide sensor.

Android phones of the same price do offer more hardware for less cash. If you want the most for your money, looking for an offer on a phone like the Google Pixel 9a would be a smarter choice. But if your heart is set on an iPhone, this is a canny way to get in on the Apple ecosystem without breaking the bank.
