Recreate the luxury Ritz-Carlton bed for less with these early Black Friday mattress deals
Get the same comfort and support as a luxury hotel bed, starting from $254
Looking for a hotel-like luxury mattress which doesn't break the bank? While bringing the Ritz Carlton experience home might sound incredible, the premium price tag is indeed a roadblock. However, what if we tell you that you can enjoy the same luxury sleep at home, thanks to options like the DreamCloud Classic, currently $699 for a queen at DreamCloud.
Just like the popular Ritz Carlton Bed, the alternatives below are undoubtedly some of the best mattresses we've tested this year, with a similar hybrid build, including both pressure relieving foam layers and supportive coils.
Not to mention that you can snag discounts up to 60% and more in this year's Black Friday mattress sales, and still not compromise on hotel-luxury sleep. Let's now get into the product specs of the Ritz Carlton Bed and then see how different its alternatives are...
The Ritz-Carlton Mattress: twin from $2,390 at Ritz Carlton
Just like some of the best hybrid mattresses in our guide, this 14" bed includes both breathable foams and 900+ individually wrapped coils which deliver superior comfort and support while reducing the pressure on your shoulders, hips and knees and preventing motion transfer. The high-quality materials also make up a temperature-regulating sleep surface. The result? A cool and uninterrupted night's rest every single day. However, the Ritz-Carlton mattress is an expensive purchase, even for a hotel bed, with a queen size priced at $3,440. While we did see a rare 20% discount during Black Friday last year, this will still set you back by $2,752. The lack of a sleep trial is a serious disadvantage for the price you're paying, but it does come with a 10-year warranty.
Three budget-friendly alternatives to shop now
Saatva Classic mattress: twin was $1,399 now $1,174 at Saatva
Saatva says this luxury innerspring bed was designed "inspired by mattresses found in high-end luxury hotels". As per our Saatva Classic mattress review panel, it lives up to its claims, earning a full score of 5 out of 5 based on its performance overall. Thanks to the high-quality materials including both luxury foams and innerspring coils, it offers excellent pressure relief, enhanced back support, cool sleep and healthy spinal alignment for all sleeping positions. It is available in two heights and three firmness levels (plush soft, luxury firm and firm) to better suit your sleeping style. Saatva mattress sales run throughout the year, alternating between 15% off or a set of tiered discounts, and currently there's $325 off a queen, bringing the price down to $1,814 (was $2,139). However there's likely to be $400 off during Black Friday which means a queen will cost you $1,739. Saatva also offers industry best benefits: 365-night trial, free in-room setup and old mattress removal, lifetime warranty and free shipping.
DreamCloud Classic: twin from $1,221 from $399 at DreamCloud
Want an even cheaper alternative with a touch of Saatva Classic luxury? Our recommendation is the DreamCloud Classic, with a six-layer hybrid design including a quilted top, contouring memory foams and eight inches of individually wrapped coils for enhanced comfort, breathability and support. While it cannot match Saatva's luxury build designed to soothe joint aches and pains, our DreamCloud Classic mattress review panel was impressed by its overall performance, especially the superior edge support and effective pressure relief. However, we think stomach sleepers and those weighing over 250lbs might need something firmer. DreamCloud mattress sales rarely change, with a queen bed nearly always priced at $699 with a a 365-night trial, lifetime warranty and free shipping.
Siena Premier Hybrid Mattress: twin from $254 at Siena
With a queen regularly priced under $500, the Siena Premier Hybrid is possibly the top budget-alternative you'll find for the Ritz-Carlton mattress. Our Siena Premier Hybrid Mattress review reports it to be on the firmer side (rating 8 out of 10 on the firmness scale), supportive and temperature-neutral. While the responsiveness works well for those who alternate between positions, the firmness and lack of contouring may not suit side sleeping. It also scored low for motion transfer, which means you cannot expect the same uninterrupted sleep as on our best mattresses for couples. Considering the evergreen discount of up to 60%, it is unlikely that the Siena Premier Hybrid will go any lower for Black Friday. However, with a queen bed at $424 including a 180-night trial, 10-year warranty and free shipping, it's a great value purchase any time of the year.
