A 'high-stakes thriller that crackles with danger', The Rapture is set in a heatwave with protesters taking to the streets. Against this backdrop, forensic psychologist Gabs Fox starts working at a psychiatric hospital and meets 17-year-old Bethany Krall, who has been convicted of murdering her mother but claims she is innocent. If that wasn't enough, her estranged father is the charismatic leader of an influential religious movement.
Bethany tells Gabs she has psychic powers that enable her to predict the future and warns of an impending apocalyptic disaster. But is she a manipulative psychopath or does she know a shocking truth?
This engrossing five-part series is adapted from Liz Jensen's bestselling novel of the same name, and directed by Eva Sigurđardóttir and Jennifer Perrott. Alongside Madeley and Amarteifio, the cast includes Stephen Campbell Moore, Lisa Palfrey, Siena Kelly, Naby Dakhli, Richard Elis, Dean Rehman, Robert Rhodes and Ruth Jones.
