Like all the best streaming services, Netflix is home to a massive, ever-changing content library, and it's almost always bringing us fresh stuff to stream. That stream of new shows to choose from is both a blessing and a curse, though, as that breadth of options only makes zeroing in on your next choice even tougher.

You can turn to the Netflix Top 10 shows list for a round-up of popular suggestions, but as we've said before: a trending show might not necessarily be right for you. That's precisely why I keep such a close eye on what's in the streamer's charts.

Netflix's teen coming-of-age drama "My Life with the Walter Boys" has returned for its second season to chart the next steps in the life of Jackie Howard (Nikki Rodriguez) and her life with Katherine and her huge family over in Silver Falls, Colorado.

After a huge cliffhanger ending, the show's bringing Jackie back to her new home for what creator Melanie Halsall promised would be a "bigger and better" second season where she'll continue to find her place within the Walter family, and to navigate the complicated love triangle between herself, Alex and Cole.

Watch On

"Wednesday" season 2 landed last week, so it's no surprise to see that Netflix's most-watched show of all time has shot straight back to the top of the streamer's charts.

Season 2, if you've somehow not returned to Nevermore Academy, sees Wednesday returning to school (now under a new headmaster) for a darker, more gruesome second season. Arriving with the rest of the Addams family in tow, Wednesday's quickly sucked into a brand new supernatural mystery, navigating friendships, new (and old) rivalries, fresh dangers — and it's proven to be just as entertaining a watch as ever. Roll on season 3.
