Lucky for you, it actually is my full-time job to keep track of everything coming from the MCU, so I've got you covered. Below, we'll get into every movie and TV show coming from Marvel that currently has a tentative release date. We'll also cover a few movies and TV shows that have been in the works but have murkier futures.
"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" gets a mention since it'll tie into the MCU canon. But the upcoming animated movies won't get a mention since they're separate from the greater MCU story. MCU chief Kevin Feige has even said Miles Morales won't appear in the MCU until at least the conclusion of Sony's animated trilogy.
So ready to dive into the multiverse? Here's every upcoming Marvel movie and TV show coming to the MCU.
Upcoming Marvel movie release dates
'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' (Out now)

"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" isn't just the latest "Spider-Man" movie. It's on track to be the biggest movie ever. In this latest addition to Spidey's story, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) is still forgotten by his friends, four years after the events of "Spider-Man: No Way Home." People still remember Spider-Man, but they don't remember the man behind the mask.
That includes MJ (Zendaya), who is now living with Ned (Jacob Batalon), with whom she is still best friends. As she no longer remembers Peter, who now lives across the hall instead of in her heart, she's moved on romantically to an unnamed character (Eman Esfandi), who some speculate could be Harry Osborn.
Of course, romance is the least of Spidey's problems. He's dealing with a frenemy in Frank Castle aka the Punisher (Jon Bernthal), and new villains in the form of Tombstone (Marvin Jones III), Scorpion (Michael Mando), Boomerang and Tarantula, as well as the evil organization the Hand. But he has some new potential allies. Mark Ruffalo is returning as Bruce Banner/Hulk; Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) is also expected to appear as Daredevil. Florence Pugh even returns as Yelena Belova for a brief cameo.
Then there's Sadie Sink, who appears in the "Brand New Day" trailer in an undisclosed role, but who many suspect is the X-Men Jean Grey (spoiler alert: she's Jean Grey).
In footage shown privately at CinemaCon, those who got to watch learned a few additional details. Peter is now going by the name "Maynard." MJ does indeed have a new boyfriend and Ned is now obsessed with finding Spider-Man and has even built a "Spidey tracker app" (h/t USA Today).
In a second "Brand New Day" trailer released on June 17, we got some more reveals. We see Peter going head-to-head (or is it web-to-stinger?) with Scorpion. We also see that Peter's powers are mutating, causing him to start shooting organic webshooters, and reunite with Bruce Banner, though Bruce doesn't remember him.
Speaking of people who can't remember him, Peter's former best friend, Ned, not only can't remember him, but is going full-blown conspiracy nut trying to uncover who Spider-Man really is.
Finally, this trailer gives us a good look at two of the film's antagonists. There's The Hand, which is a group of ninjas that we see at the end of the trailer. Then, there's a shadowy figure in grey robes that is presumedly Sadie Sink's still unknown character. Based on the powers she shows off in this trailer, I'd say those who think she's Jean Grey are probably right on the money.
'Avengers: Doomsday' (Dec. 2026)

Release date: Dec. 18, 2026
"Avengers: Kang Dynasty" is gone — a mere footnote in the MCU. That's because Marvel revealed at SDCC that the fifth Avengers movie is now titled "Avengers: Doomsday" and will bring back Robert Downey Jr. to the MCU as the iconic villain Doctor Doom. Even more shocking, it's rumored to have a runtime of two hours and 45 minutes (h/t The Hollywood Reporter).
Since that announcement, Marvel has dropped four separate trailers for the upcoming movie, revealing many members of the already announced "Doomsday" cast. First up is a trailer of Chris Evans, reprising as Steve Rodgers (but maybe no longer Captain America?) and going into a quiet home to check on a locked-away Cap suit and a newborn baby.
After that trailer was released, Marvel kept the fatherhood theme alive with Thor (Chris Hemsworth) praying to his father, Odin. He talks about his (adoptive) child, Love (India Rose Hemsworth) and how he wishes to return to her for a life of peace ... right after he defeats one last enemy.
The third (and best) trailer brought fans the moment they've long been waiting for: The return of the X-Men. We hear Magneto (Ian McKellen) talking to someone who turns out to be Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart). We then see the official return of James Marsden, in a comics-accurate Cyclops suit, letting off an optic blast as what appear to be Sentinels fight in the background.
Finally, we get an unlikely pairing in the fourth trailer. The Wakandans, led by Shuri (Letitia Wright) and King M'baku (Winston), arrive to find The Thing aka Ben Grimm (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) waiting for them.
We also have the first full trailer for "Doomsday" available to scour for clues. This was originally debuted at CinemaCon, then San Diego Comic-Con. You can currently watch it on YouTube.
The trailer opens with the sign for the Xavier Institute and a Robert Downey Jr. voice-over as Doom (doing an accent). The trailer alludes to this voice-over actually being Doom talking to Professor Xavier, who the trailer then shows witnessing a bright light in the sky, followed by a shot of Doom.
The trailer then shifts locales. The Fantastic Four meet with the Avengers and Thunderbolts at Avengers Tower. Shuri meets with Namor. Cyclops arrives and Thor reveals he's truly scared by the new threat they face. The trailer also shows Shang-Chi (Simu Liu) fighting Gambit (Channing Tatum) in the X-Mansion. We see the Fantastic Four meeting the Wakandans again and witness Mystique (Rebecca Romijn) transforming into Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh). There are shots of Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn) holding his sister, Sue (Vanessa Kirby), Namor flying, and Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) kissing his daughter, Cassie (Kathryn Newton), on the forehead.
Then, we end with Thor, who tells the assembled heroes to put their differences aside. He then leaps at Doom with Stormbreaker, to no avail. But as all hope seems lost, Steve Rogers arrives and summons Mjolnir from Thor's hand to join the fight.
We then got a "Special Look" trailer at Disney's D23 event in August. This trailer focuses on establishing our Victor von Doom as part of the "Fantastic Four" universe and as a supervillain capable of destroying anything and anyone the MCU can throw at him.
Who else will be joining the fight in "Doomsday"? We'll have to see more trailers to find out, but there are some rumors. The biggest one comes from MyTimeToShineHello on X (Twitter), who says that Tobey Maguire and Hugh Jackman could return as Spider-Man and Wolverine — and then die at the start of the movie. However, there's at least one report that suggests Tom Holland's version of Peter Parker won't make an appearance in "Doomsday," even if the other Spider-Men do (h/t The Cosmic Circus).
They've subsequently also reported (via X [Twitter]) that Benedict Cumberbatch will return for "Avengers: Doomsday." And like Robert Downey Jr., he'll be making a heel turn as a new character. He's allegedly playing Boris, Doctor Doom's sling ring-wielding wizard sidekick.

And if you're expecting people to be rational about this movie, don't. According to the same insider, "Doomsday" is already being called the "greatest movie OF ALL TIME. PERIOD."
I have my doubts. Especially because it appears that you will need to watch more than just trailers before watching "Doomsday." At CinemaCon 2026 and a subsequent interview, co-director Joe Russo revealed that they're not just re-releasing "Avengers: Endgame" ahead of the next Avengers movie, but they added "Doomsday" tie-in scenes to the movie. “It’s critically important to re-release the movie," Russo revealed to a Las Vegas crowd (h/t Deadline). "In fact, we’ll be re-releasing the film with footage that is set in the 'Doomsday' story that we have added to 'Avengers: Endgame.'"
This seems at odds with Russo's subsequent comments in a June 2026 interview, where he declared, "We are back to Phase Zero." He elaborated, "This is starting over from scratch. We want to make sure everybody feels like this isn’t leaning on anything from the past.” I'm not sure how you can start from scratch and add new scenes to an old movie that you're asking people to go back to theaters to see.
In another wrinkle, this movie might be dealing with issues in the editing room. A source told World of Reel's Jordan Ruimy that the movie is a "mess." They did, however, suggest that the Russos will figure it out, and any delay beyond December 18 is totally off the table.
On June 13, 2026, footage seemingly leaked on X (Twitter) showing a major battle between Doctor Doom, the Avengers and the X-Men. While it shows James Marsden's Cyclops letting loose an optic blast, something we've seen in trailers already, there's no audio and it's heavily pixelated. Between that and the fact that Marvel hasn't pulled it down (though it has pulled down some higher-resolution versions), the consensus is that this is fake, possibly AI-generated footage.
Avengers: Secret Wars (Dec. 2027)

Marvel's "Avengers: Secret Wars" will bring an end to this era of the MCU. But we'll have to wait a bit longer than expected, as it's now been delayed to Dec. 17, 2027.
Not only will this movie end Phase Six of the MCU, but it is now more likely than ever that it will ultimately be used as a soft reset for the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe. The addition of Robert Downey, Jr. as Doctor Doom — potentially God Emperor Doom in this movie, given the Marvel comics source material "Secret Wars" is pulling from — makes it so Marvel can completely reshape the entire MCU after this movie.
But just because "Secret Wars" could be a new beginning for Marvel doesn't mean that some old faces can't show up on screen. There are rumors that Tobey Maguire, Chris Evans, Nicolas Cage, Wesley Snipes, and Scarlett Johansson could all reprise their old Marvel roles (h/t Comic Book Movie). Similar stunt casting was done by Marvel in "Deadpool & Wolverine," so don't rule this rumor out. There's even a rumor that Inde Navarrette will make her debut as Rogue here rather than the 2028 "X-Men" reboot movie (h/t The Hot Mic).
It also seems that Henry Cavill could make an appearance as a Wolverine variant, though again, that's currently just a rumor. According to Marvel Updates on X (Twitter), it's also possible that Cavill could instead appear in the MCU as Captain Britain or both roles.
One cameo that does appear to be happening? Wonder Man. In a Q&A with The Cosmic Circus, Marvel insider Alex Perez said that the character played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is "apparently scheduled to show up in the next Avengers films." That was before Marvel canceled "Wonder Man" season 2, however.
'Black Panther 3' (TBD)
Release date: TBD
There's been almost no news about a possible "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" sequel. But when speaking to Today Show Australia, "Gladiator 2" star Denzel Washington revealed that "Ryan Coogler is writing a part for me [Denzel] in the next Black Panther."
Marvel head Kevin Feige confirmed that the movie was in the works days later when announcing the departure of Marvel executive Nate Moore (h/t Deadline).
It's been rumored that this movie would once again recast the titular Black Panther, but Marvel producer Nate Moore told our friends at TechRadar "There's no truth to those rumors."
A recent rumor from The Cosmic Circus tips "Black Panther 3" for a November 2026 release date, though it indicates that the November slot in the calendar could go to a Shang-Chi movie.
'Deadpool 4' (TBD)
Release date: TBD
Ryan Reynolds confirmed to those in attendance at Fanatics Fest 2026 that a new "Deadpool" movie is in the works (h/t Deadline). He didn't confirm much else, but did leave us with one quote.
"I think there’s [sic] a few deep cuts missing from some of the comics. There’s certainly some stuff that, you know, I love that Fabian Nicieza wrote that is incredible. Gerry Duggan, who was a friend, was an incredible comic writer,” Reynolds said to those in at the Fanatics Fest panel. "There’s stuff upcoming. There’s eventually, you know, remotely another Deadpool film. It’s going to be great."
Upcoming Marvel TV show release dates
'X-Men 97' season 2 (Out now)
Release date: Streaming now on Disney+
"X-Men '97" is another recent Marvel animated series I really enjoyed. It's a reboot/sequel hybrid, picking up after the events of the "X-Men: The Animated Series" show from the 1990s. Season 1 ended with a cliffhanger, and the X-Men spread out across multiple timelines.
Season 2 looks set to pick up right from that cliffhanger ending, and it'll have a few compelling storylines right out of the gate. Cyclops and Jean Grey are stuck in 3960 A.D., a desolate future where they encounter Mother Askani and a young version of Cyclops' son, Nathan. Meanwhile, Rogue, Nightcrawler, Beast, Professor Xavier, and Magneto are in Ancient Egypt and have just met a young version of Apocalypse.
Bad news for the mutants: the older, more powerful version of Apocalypse is on Genosha, and he's set to be the big bad of season 2. You can check out the official trailer above or on YouTube.
Don't expect season 2 to be the final chapter in this X-Men story, though. Marvel Studios Head of TV and Streaming Brad Winderbaum has confirmed that season 3 is on its way and that seasons 4 and 5 are currently being discussed (h/t Collider)
'Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man' season 2 (Fall 2026)
Release date: Fall 2026 on Disney+
I'll admit, I wasn't expecting much from "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man." But I came away impressed with season 1, and I'd be lying if I said I won't be excited to watch season 2 when it comes out.
The cel-shaded animated series stars Hudson Thames as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. In season 1, we watched him grow close with his friends Nico Minoru (Grace Song) and Harry Osborn (Zeno Robinson). We also saw him start working for Norman Osborn (Colman Domingo) as both Peter and Spidey, though it seems this version of Norman is just as shady as the others. Oh, and his father is in prison. Plot twist! And Venom is coming in season 2. Double plot twist!
Season 2 is expected to pick up from the events of season 1 and still exists in a universe that isn't Earth-616's. That said, it's still part of the MCU, even if it might not impact the main MCU storyline.
'Vision Quest' (Oct 2026)
Release date: Oct. 14, 2026 on Disney+
"Vision Quest" will bring back Paul Bettany as White Vision, a character that was introduced at the end of "WandaVision." It will bring an end to the story started in that show and then continued in "Agatha All Along."
Vision's not the only returning MCU character confirmed to return in this show. In the first official "Vision Quest" trailer, we saw that James Spader is back as Ultron, but in human form. He's spurring on Vision to find his son, Tommy (Ruaridh Mollica).
Also officially cast are Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H. and James D'Arcy, reprising his role as Jarvis from the MCU films and. Todd Stashwick, T’Nia Miller, Lauren Morais, Orla Brady, Diane Morgan, Polly Frame, Henry Lewis, and Jonathan Saye are also all cast.
Reporting from Deadline indicates that Elizabeth Olsen may return as Wanda Maximoff, though that is far from guaranteed. A rumor from Daniel Richtman suggests that multiple endings are being tested, including one that brings back Billy Maximoff and Agatha Harkness and another that brings back Wanda.
'Daredevil: Born Again' season 3 (March 2027)
Release date: March 2027 on Disney+
"Daredevil: Born Again" season 2 may be in full swing, but season 3 has already been greenlit and is in production, with filming reportedly already taking place (h/t The Wrap). Tentatively, it's scheduled for a March 2027 release window.
There's one major change to the Daredevil character in season 3, and those who have seen the season 2 finale already know what I'm referring to. Showrunner Dario Scardapane confirmed in an interview that this shocking twist won't be undone at any point during the third season (h/t IGN), so if you haven't already, start streaming season 2 now so you know what twist I'm referring to.
One final spoiler warning: "The Defenders" might be getting back together. "Luke Cage" star Mike Coulter posted a photo on Instagram of him, Kyrsten Ritter and Finn Jones, seemingly on the set of "Born Again" season 3.
'Marvel Zombies' season 2 (TBD)
Release date: TBD on Disney+
Marvel Studios head of streaming, television and animation, Brad Winderbaum, has officially confirmed "Zombies" season 2 is coming. In an appearance on The Escape Pod podcast, the studio executive said he's even seen part of the first episode.
"I don’t think it’s a spoiler," Winderbaum revealed, "but I saw the first animatic of the first episode of Marvel Zombies Season 2, and it was crazy. I can’t say anything about it, but it delivers not just on like Zombies but also on an MCU thing that has never really happened before that we’re very excited to do.”
Rumored MCU Projects
Marvel movies and TV shows without release dates
Head of Streaming, Television, and Animation at Marvel Studios, Brad Winderbaum, recently told Comic Book Movie that a Special Presentation starring Jon Bernthal as The Punisher is in the works. "[Bernthal] is working on a special presentation with us about that character."
For those who are unfamiliar with Marvel Studios Special Presentations, these are one-off specials released on Disney+. There have been two to date: "The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special" and "Werewolf by Night."
'Armor Wars'
Originally, Armor Wars was set to be a Disney+ series bringing back Don Cheadle as James "Rhodey" Rhodes, aka War Machine. That's been scrapped and the new idea is to do it as a movie, though still with Don Cheadle.
And it's now been reported that Sam Rockwell will return to the MCU in Armor Wars, reprising his role as Justin Hammer from Iron Man 2. Shooting would reportedly start in 2025 with a 2026 or 2027 release date. This is all currently based on rumor though, so take it with a grain of salt.
Especially since the latest news is that this Marvel movie is on hold. Speaking with Collider, "Captain America: Brave New World" producer Nate Moore intimated that the project has been slowed down and hinted that it'll be a long time before we ever see this movie if we even see it at all.
'Fantastic Four' sequel
According to Marvel insider @MyTimeToShineH, we could be getting a "Fantastic Four" sequel post-"Secret Wars." Seemingly, Marvel also wants Matt Shakman back to direct this sequel. We'll provide more details once we have them, as this project is very much just a rumor, albeit one that makes sense.
'Nova'
There used to be a rumored "Nova" show, but now there's a rumored "Nova" movie instead. According to Deadline, the writer of "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" is developing a new "Nova" movie for Marvel. Beyond that, nothing is known.
'Excalibur'
According to Marvel insider MTTSH, an "Excalibur" series is reportedly in development at Marvel Studios (h/t Comic Book Movie). This may be where we see Henry Cavill as Captain Britain, though that's just pure speculation based on the "Excalibur" comics.
'Hawkeye' season 2
We've now seen a report that "Hawkeye" is getting a second season. Marvel insider DanielRPK says that a second season for the series has been ordered, but won't start filming until fall 2025 with an eye on a fall 2026 release date at the earliest.
However, Jeremy Renner has claimed he's out on the project because Disney tried to lowball him on salary (h/t The Hollywood Reporter). Producer Andrew Guest has also said that season 2 is essentially dead, telling The Direct, "the timing didn't work out."
'Champion'
There used to be rumors that Marvel was working towards a Young Avengers movie. But now, it seems that they've pivoted to a TV show titled "Champion."
According to Marvel insider DanielRPK, "While production won’t start for a while, they’ve already begun searching for a showrunner. The reasons for the change include 'The Marvels' underperforming at the box office and the decision to remove "Young" from the title due to some of the cast members aging out of the "young" label."
However, one of the purported stars of this show says it's probably not happening. In an interview with Variety, she was shocked to learn she's been "officially" cast. "I saw that!" she exclaimed when asked about it. "You’re telling me anyone can just update IMDb now? Because part of me was like, “Is this someone random just throwing stuff out? Or someone who knows something?”"
'Strange Academy'
We hadn't heard much about this potential TV series, but now it seems it could be dead before it is even officially greenlit. According to Deadline, "Strange Academy" has been "paused," along with "Nova" and "Terror, Inc," but a report from insider Daniel Richtman suggests "Strange Academy" is back in active development.

Rumored 'X-Force' movie
According to Marvel insider Daniel Richtman, Marvel Studios is moving forward with an "X-Force" project. There's long been rumored an "X-Force" movie that would be led by "Deadpool" team Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy, but at this stage, both that and Richtman's comments are firmly just rumors.
Currently untitled MCU projects
