The Manchester United vs Everton live stream pits two clubs that are tied in the Premier League rankings with 13 points each. Their records are identical: four wins, one draw, one loss. The teams even have scored nearly the same amount of goals. This may very well be the most hard-fought clash of the week. And a win would send either side to the top of the table.

The big news ahead of kick off is that Cristiano Ronaldo is on the bench. That might sound like a shock, but manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer always said he wouldn't start every game.

Or maybe Solskjaer just wants to shake things up. United barely got away with a Champions League win over Villareal thanks to a late extra-time goal by Ronaldo and lost their last league game 1-90 to Aston Villa. And it's not like they don't have options, with Edinson Cavani back from injury. He starts here, as do Luke Shaw, Anthony Martial, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Fred. But just look at that bench: Ronaldo, Paul Pogba and Jadon Sancho are all ready and waiting to come on if Utd need extra firepower late on.

Everton are coming off a rote win over cellar dwellers Norwich City. The Toffees are also well-rested after not having a mid-week game, but playing at Old Trafford is always a challenge — they haven't won there since December 2013.

While manager Rafael Benitez may not be very popular, his lineups this season have proven they can score. Against United, though, Benitez will have to patch something together, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison and Seamus Coleman all unavailable. The Blues offense will still be a danger, with Andros Townsend on the wing and Abdoulaye Doucoure in midfield.

Here's how they line up:

Manchester United: De Gea, Lindelof, Martial, Greenwood, Fred, Fernandes, Varane, Cavani, Shaw, Wan-Bissaka, McTominay.

Everton: Pickford, Keane, Allan, Gray, Digne, Mina, Townsend, Doucoure, Godfrey, Gordon, Rondon.
