The biggest challenge when it comes to the best foldable phones is the price, but you can grab one of the best foldable phones at a discount this President's Day.
Right now, you can grab the 256GB Galaxy Z Flip 7 for 18% off at Amazon, meaning a final price of $899. What's even better is that the deal covers all three color options: Blue Shadow, Coral Red and Jet Black. Alternatively, if you want a bit more storage, you can grab the 512GB Galaxy Z Flip 7 for 16% off, which means a final price of $1,019.
However, that price is only for the Coral Red and Jet Black options, while the 512GB Blue Shadow Galaxy Z Flip 7 has been dropped by 17%, leading to a final price of $1,016.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 offers bigger upgrades than we've seen in years past. Samsung included a bigger 4.1-inch outer screen and a multimodal AI experience. On top of that, you're getting a larger 4,300 mAh battery and full Samsung DeX support. If you're looking for the perfect flip phone, then you can't do much better.
Price Comparison: $899 @ Best Buy
Alternatively, you can grab the 256GB Galaxy Z Flip 7 for $799 from Best Buy. However, to get this price, you'll need to activate the phone on either Verizon or AT&T at checkout.
It would be easy to ignore the Galaxy Z Flip 7 when you have the larger Galaxy Z Fold 7 to compare it to. However, there are some very good reasons why it sits at the top of our list when it comes to foldable phones.
In the past, Samsung has been a bit light-handed when it comes to hardware advancements, but the Galaxy Z Flip 7 stands as one of the biggest improvements that we've seen in years. Firstly, Samsung increased the size of the outer display to 4.1 inches, making it much easier to use than the 3.4-inch display seen on the Galaxy Z Flip 6. You're also getting a slightly larger main screen, increased to 6.9 inches.
The biggest improvement has to be the support for the multimodal capabilities of Gemini Live. This allows the AI to tap into the phone's camera to see the world around you. Since the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is small enough to easily fit in your pocket, while keeping the front display poking out, like an observant pocket protector. Not only that, but you're also getting Galaxy AI, including features like the Now Bar and Cross App Actions, as well as full Samsung DeX support.
All of this is powered by the increased 4,300 mAh support, which offers around 12 hours of use before needing a charge. Unfortunately, Samsung didn't increase the charging speeds, with the phone still offering 25W wired charging and 15W wireless. The cameras also didn't see much improvement from the last phone, although they are more than capable of handling most people's needs.
Overall, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 stands at the pinnacle of what we want from a foldable phone, with the biggest issue being the price. As such, deals like this are a great chance to grab a fantastic phone at a more reasonable price.
