Shark is a trusted brand that we associate with the best vacuum cleaners, air purifiers and cooling fans, and the company’s latest cleaning machine doesn't disappoint.
The pioneering company has just dropped a mini but mighty spot cleaner, the Shark StainForce, designed for tackling everyday spills and set-in stains on carpets, upholstery, and even your car.
What’s more, the compact machine is also cordless, making it a refreshing change to the corded and bulky stain removal appliances we’ve become accustomed to. Retailing for $199, it comes with a caddy and a dedicated spot cleaning solution.
The Shark StainForce is a compact and cordless spot cleaner, with ultra powerful suction and stain-fighting power. Used alongside the accompanying StainForce cleaner, it eliminates both fresh and set-in stains. Plus it can be emptied quickly, so you're ready for the next challenge.
The Shark StainForce conquers ‘stainxiety’
Wine spills on your white sofa, or muddy paw prints on a rug — the Shark StainForce is designed to take the anxiety out of everyday mishaps, so you don’t need to worry when accidents happen. It’s what Shark refers to as ‘stainxiety’ — the stress that hits when stains threaten your favorite spaces.
“We know that stains and stain cleaning can be incredibly stressful, often leading to what we call "Stainxiety,” said Petra Oman, VP Marketing at Shark. “That’s exactly why we created StainForce — to eliminate that pressure and allow consumers to not be afraid of actually living life, with the confidence to destroy any stain or spill, anytime, anywhere.”
She adds, “Whether you’re a parent dealing with daily spills from kids, a pet owner managing unexpected messes, or a host preparing for guests, StainForce is designed to be your reliable, always-ready solution.”
You can pick up the Shark StainForce in the U.S. directly from Shark for $199, while U.K. customers will have to wait until September 11th. In the meantime, U.K. buyers can sign up for the StainForce here, which is £169.99 at Shark.

What's included? Aside from the stain-removing gadget, you get a crevice tool, grab & go caddy, full-size dual-activated solution, reusable spray bottle head, and a charging cable.
So, what does Shark’s StainForce have to offer? I'm impressed with its super convenience. With no setup needed, and weighing just 3 lbs, its compact and cordless design makes it easy to move around, eliminating the issue of finding a nearby plug socket, or tripping over a cord.
What’s more, the starter kit comes with a grab-and-go caddy, with space to store attachments and the cleaning solution, so you never have to worry about where items are hiding when an unexpected spill happens. Just pick it up and get cleaning!
Apart from its convenient design, it combines ultra-powerful stain-extracting suction that lifts and locks away spills and stains without leaking and dripping when held at an angle. It also features a dual-formula spray bottle, which, according to Shark, delivers the best stain-fighting in the product category, with 30 times more stain-fighting power. I’ll let you know whether Shark’s claims are correct once I get my hands on the StainForce.
I think Shark’s StainForce is a no-brainer if you’ve got kids or pets, and a definite necessity if you’ve got both! And apart from tackling fresh stains, it has the power to remove older spots, so even those marks you thought would be set-in for good can be eliminated.
I'll be testing the StainForce in the weeks ahead, but if first impressions are anything to go by, I think it could fast become a must-have in my home!
