"Naked and Afraid" remains one of TV’s simplest yet toughest survival challenges. Two strangers meet for the first time in the middle of nowhere, with no clothes and just one survival item each. Their mission is to complete 21 days, remain healthy enough to avoid a medical tap, and reach the extraction point under their own power.
Season 19 premieres on February 15, and you can catch it on Discovery+. You can also watch it from anywhere using a VPN.
Season 19 is set to premiere on the Discovery Channel on February 15, 2026.
• U.S. — discovery+
• U.K. — discovery+ (release date TBC)
• Canada — discovery+ (9 March)
• Australia — BINGE (release date TBC)
• Watch anywhere — try NordVPN 100% risk-free
The new season is being billed as the "most raw and adrenaline-charged" yet, with a stronger focus on teamwork and brutal survival conditions. Legendary survivalist Matt Wright returns in a two-hour special, guiding a rookie and a redemption-seeking veteran through the Florida Everglades, battling severe storms and aggressive alligators.
In a franchise first, experts Ky Furneaux and Dan Link attempt to survive 14 days on a remote island with no tools whatsoever—no fire starter, no pot, and no blade. There’s also a standout segment featuring five social media influencers thrown into the wild to see whether their carefully curated online personas can withstand raw, primal reality.
On the back of Last One Standing’s success (with Season 2 airing in July 2024), fans are eagerly awaiting more "game-ified" survival, complete with cash prizes and strict non-sharing rules. There’s growing buzz around returning veterans like Matt Wright and Ky Furneaux, and plenty of speculation over whether a woman will finally claim a Last One Standing title.
If you’re ready to dive in, here’s how to watch "Naked and Afraid" online, including the quickest way to stream it when you’re travelling.
Watch 'Naked and Afraid' in the U.S.
You have two main options to stream "Naked and Afraid" season 19 in the U.S.: on-demand streaming or live viewing on the Discovery Channel.
In most regions, discovery+ is the franchise's primary streaming home. You can subscribe directly or add it as an Amazon Prime Video Channel. Max also offers many seasons, though the availability of the latest episodes and certain spin-offs can vary over time. Hulu offers select seasons, too.
If you’d rather watch on the Discovery Channel as episodes air, you’ll need a live TV streaming service that includes Discovery. Options in the U.S. include, Sling TV, YouTube TV, Fubo, and DirecTV. Already pay for cable or satellite? You can sign in with your provider details and stream via the Discovery GO app.
One timing quirk to be aware of: some spin-offs may remain exclusive to cable and Discovery+/Discovery GO during their first airings, then roll over to discovery+ later.
Watching from abroad? You can usually continue using your regular streaming subscriptions with a VPN such as NordVPN. More on that below.
Watch 'Naked and Afraid' from anywhere
Travelling and suddenly blocked from your usual streaming apps? A VPN (virtual private network) can make your device appear as if it’s back in your home country, so you can keep using your existing subscriptions while you’re abroad. Tom’s Guide recommends using reputable VPNs that are fast enough for HD streaming and easy to use on phones, tablets, laptops, and smart TVs.
NordVPN is frequently highlighted as a strong all-around choice in these situations, combining speed, security, and ease of use, and it comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee so you can try it risk-free.

Watch 'Naked and Afraid' in the U.K.
In the U.K., discovery+ is the primary home for the series, with plans starting at around £3.99 per month, with a 7-day free trial often available for new subscribers.
Unfortunately, no release date for season 19 has arrived, but season 18 premiered in March 2025 so we don't think you'll have to wait too long.
U.S. citizen in the U.K. and can't wait? NordVPN can help you access the American version of Discovery+.
Watch 'Naked and Afraid' in Canada
For Canadian viewers, "Naked and Afraid" season 19 will hit screens with pop-up episodes from March 6. Full brand new episodes arrive on 20 March with streaming available on Discovery+.
Traveling within The Great White North or heading overseas? You can use a VPN to stream just as you would at home. We recommend NordVPN.
Watch 'Naked and Afraid' in Australia
In Australia, 'Naked and Afraid" season 19 access should be split between Foxtel and BINGE.
BINGE carries multiple seasons of the main series plus spin-offs such as "Naked and Afraid XL". Foxtel Now also offers on-demand streaming with access to several seasons, while new episodes and specials typically air on the Discovery Channel via Foxtel, depending on your package.
Despite this, it appears you will have to wait with no release date officially announced.
Heading overseas? Australians abroad will need a VPN that lets them securely access their usual local services. We recommend NordVPN.
'Naked and Afraid' season 19 — FAQs
Is 'Naked and Afraid' real? The show is largely unscripted. Participants decide where to build their shelters and how to find food, and they deal with real weather, injuries, and exhaustion. While the episodes are edited to heighten the drama, the weight loss and physical effects (such as hair loss or infections) are very real.
Do contestants get paid? Yes. Participants receive a weekly stipend (often reported as a few thousand dollars) to help cover lost wages while they’re away from their regular jobs.
Is there a prize for winning? In the standard 21-day challenge and the XL versions, there’s no cash prize; the reward is the personal achievement of finishing. However, the competitive spin-off "Last One Standing" offers a $100,000 grand prize.
What medical help do they get? There are on-site medical teams and doctors who monitor participants’ health throughout the challenge. They can provide daily prescription medications and feminine hygiene products. Medics typically only step in during life-threatening emergencies or serious issues such as kidney-threatening dehydration.
