Just as the Winter Olympics humbled Canadian ice hockey, the World Baseball Classic has knocked the Americans down a peg or two. The superstar-laden hosts and favorites were stunned by Italy and only just scraped into the knockouts, where they've been rewarded with a quarter-final showdown with who else but Canada.

The Azzurri are one of three unbeaten teams at the WBC, along with Japan and the Dominican Republic. The reigning champions may have Shohei Ohtani, but the four-time MLB MVP isn't pitching, and that's where Samurai Japan have been lacking. Don't be fooled by their resume — like USA, they've found it tough going so far.

The Dominican Republic, on the other hand, have been sensational. Platano Power racked up a tournament-high 13 home runs during the pool stage, with Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Juan Soto and Fernando Tatis Jr. clobbering at least two apiece, and the sheer joy they're playing with is infectious.

Japan have been handed a tough quarter-final assignment. Venezuela gave the Dominican Republic a real test in midweek, and Luis Arraez has been on fire for La Vinotinto.

Here's how to watch World Baseball Classic online and on TV. We’ve also listed the full schedule below so you won't miss a moment.
